因为我虽然活在血肉之躯里，但在属灵的争战上，却不是凭血气之勇。我们争战的兵器不是属血气的，乃是从上帝而来的能力，可以摧毁坚固的营垒，

彼得吩咐他们奉耶稣基督的名受洗。之后，他们又请彼得住了几天。

我将把你从你的同胞和外族人手中救出来。我差遣你到他们那里，去开他们的眼睛，使他们弃暗投明，脱离魔鬼的权势，归向上帝，好叫他们的罪得到赦免，与所有因信我而圣洁的人同得基业。’

我说话、讲道不是靠充满智慧的雄辩之词，而是靠圣灵的能力作明证，好使你们的信仰不是以人的智慧为基础，而是以上帝的能力为基础。

我们弃绝了见不得人的可耻行为，不用狡诈的手段，不曲解上帝的道，而是把真理讲解明白，好让大家的良心在上帝面前为我们作证。

因为有人说：“他信中的话有分量，很严厉，他本人却软弱无能，言语粗俗。”
