Shallum son of Kore, the son of Ebiasaph, the son of Korah, and his fellow gatekeepers from his family( the Korahites) were responsible for guarding the thresholds of the tent just as their ancestors had been responsible for guarding the entrance to the dwelling of the Lord.

Shallum was the son of Kore. Kore was the son of Ebiasaph. Ebiasaph was the son of Korah. Shallum and the other Levites in his family belonged to the family line of Korah. They had the duty of guarding the entrances to the tent. From long ago, their people had the duty of guarding the entrance to the house of the Lord.

Shallum the son of Kore, son of Ebiasaph, son of Korah, and his kinsmen of his fathers’ house, the Korahites, were in charge of the work of the service, keepers of the thresholds of the tent, as their fathers had been in charge of the camp of the Lord, keepers of the entrance.

Shallum was the son of Kore, a descendant of Abiasaph, from the clan of Korah. He and his relatives, the Korahites, were responsible for guarding the entrance to the sanctuary, just as their ancestors had guarded the Tabernacle in the camp of the Lord.

你们要这样做：在安息日值班的祭司和利未人，三分之一要把守各门，三分之一要在王宫，三分之一要在根基门；众百姓都要在耶和华殿的院内。除了祭司和供职的利未人之外，不准别人进耶和华的殿；只有他们可以进去，因为他们是神圣的。众百姓都要遵守耶和华所吩咐的。利未人要手中各拿兵器，四围保护王；凡擅自进殿的，要被处死。王出入的时候，你们当跟随他。”利未人和犹大众人都照着耶何耶大祭司一切所吩咐的去做，各带自己的人，无论安息日值班或不值班的都来，因为耶何耶大祭司不许他们下班。耶何耶大祭司就把上帝殿里所藏大卫王的枪和大小盾牌交给百夫长，又分派众百姓手中各拿兵器，在祭坛和殿那里，从殿南到殿北，站在王的四围；

哥辖的后裔：他的儿子亚米拿达，他的儿子可拉，他的儿子亚惜，他的儿子以利加拿，他的儿子以比雅撒，他的儿子亚惜，

以利押的儿子是尼母利、大坍、亚比兰。这大坍、亚比兰，就是从会中选出来，当可拉一伙的人向耶和华争闹的时候，一起向摩西、亚伦争闹的；地开了裂口，吞了他们和可拉，可拉一伙的人也一同死亡。当时火吞灭了二百五十个人；他们就成为鉴戒。然而可拉的众子没有死亡。

耶何耶大祭司吩咐管军兵的百夫长，对他们说：“把她从行列之间赶出去，凡跟随她的必用刀杀死！”因为祭司说：“不可在耶和华殿里杀她。”

他们无论大小，都按着父系抽签，分守各门。抽到东门的是示利米雅；他的儿子撒迦利亚是精明的谋士，抽到北门。俄别‧以东守南门，他的儿子守仓库。书聘与何萨守西门，在靠近沙利基门、通往上去的街道上，守卫与守卫相对。东门有六个利未人，北门每日有四人，南门每日有四人，库房有两人轮流替换。至于走廊，在西面街道上有四人，在走廊上有两人。以上是可拉子孙和米拉利子孙门口守卫的班次。

上帝啊，你在古时，我们列祖的日子所做的事，我们亲耳听见了，我们的列祖曾为我们述说。

万民哪，你们都当听这话！世上所有的居民，无论贵贱贫富，都当侧耳而听！

众百夫长就照着耶何耶大祭司一切所吩咐的去做，各带自己的人，无论安息日值班或不值班的，都到耶何耶大祭司那里。

上帝啊，我的心切慕你，如鹿切慕溪水。

在你的院宇一日，胜似千日；宁可在我上帝的殿中看门，不愿住在恶人的帐棚里。
