Shallum son of Kore, the son of Ebiasaph, the son of Korah, and his fellow gatekeepers from his family( the Korahites) were responsible for guarding the thresholds of the tent just as their ancestors had been responsible for guarding the entrance to the dwelling of the Lord.

Shallum was the son of Kore. Kore was the son of Ebiasaph. Ebiasaph was the son of Korah. Shallum and the other Levites in his family belonged to the family line of Korah. They had the duty of guarding the entrances to the tent. From long ago, their people had the duty of guarding the entrance to the house of the Lord.

Shallum the son of Kore, son of Ebiasaph, son of Korah, and his kinsmen of his fathers’ house, the Korahites, were in charge of the work of the service, keepers of the thresholds of the tent, as their fathers had been in charge of the camp of the Lord, keepers of the entrance.

Shallum was the son of Kore, a descendant of Abiasaph, from the clan of Korah. He and his relatives, the Korahites, were responsible for guarding the entrance to the sanctuary, just as their ancestors had guarded the Tabernacle in the camp of the Lord.

Shallum son of Kore, son of Ebiasaph, son of Korah and his relatives from his ancestral family, the Korahites, were assigned to guard the thresholds of the tent. Their ancestors had been assigned to the LORD’s camp as guardians of the entrance.

你們要這樣行：你們中間的祭司和利未人、安息日上班的、三分之一要把守各門檻；三分之一要在王宮，三分之一要在基址門：眾民要在永恆主之殿的院子。除了祭司和供職的利未人以外、任何人都不可進永恆主的殿；這些人可以進去，因為他們聖別；眾民總要遵守永恆主所吩咐守的。利未人各要四圍環繞着王，手拿軍器；凡闖進殿的必被處死；王入王出、你們都要和他在一起。』利未人和猶大眾人就照祭司耶何耶大一切所吩咐的去行；各帶安息日上班同安息日下班的人來；因為祭司耶何耶大不許他們休班。祭司耶何耶大便將上帝殿裏屬大衛王的矛、盾牌、武器、交給百夫長們；他又分派眾民手裏各拿兵器，從殿南邊到北邊、對着壇和殿站在王子四圍。

哥轄的子孫如下：哥轄的兒子是亞米拿達，亞米拿達的兒子是可拉，可拉的兒子是亞惜。亞惜的兒子是以利加拿，以利加拿的兒子是以比雅撒，以比雅撒的兒子是亞惜，

以利押的兒子是尼母利、大坍、亞比蘭。大坍、亞比蘭是會眾中被選召的，同可拉一黨的人和永恆主爭鬪的時候、也和摩西、亞倫爭鬪；地敞開了口，把他們和可拉吞下去；當時那一黨的人都死，當時有火燒滅了二百五十個人；他們就做了示眾的標記。然而可拉的兒子們卻沒有死。

祭司耶何耶大吩咐受派管理軍兵的百夫長們，對他們說：『從班次之間將她趕出去；將凡跟隨她的處死於刀下。』因為祭司說：『她不可在永恆主殿裏被處死。』

他們無論大小、都按父系的家屬拈鬮，一門一門分守。守東門的鬮是落於示利米雅。他們也給他的兒子撒迦利亞、一個精明的參謀、拈鬮；他的鬮拈出北門來。俄別以東守南門；他的兒子守庫房。何薩守西門，靠近廂房大門、在上行的大路上：這班跟那班並立而守。守東門的每日有六個人，守北門的每日有四個人，守南門的每日有四個人，守庫房的是兩個人兩個人輪流的。在西面聖殿的遊廊有四個人在大路上，有兩個人在遊廊那裏。以上是可拉子孫和米拉利子孫守門的班次。

上帝啊，你在古日我們列祖的日子所顯的作為、我們列祖給我們敘述過的、我們都親耳聽見了。

萬族之民哪，你們要聽這話；人世的居民哪，你們都側耳聽吧！

百夫長們就照祭司耶何耶大一切所吩咐的去行；各帶安息日上班同安息日下班的人來見祭司耶何耶大。

上帝啊，我的心切慕着你，如同鹿切慕有水的溪河。

在你的院子一日，勝過在別處一千日，寧可在我上帝之殿的門檻上站着，也不願在邪惡之公館住一代。
