Shallum son of Kore, the son of Ebiasaph, the son of Korah, and his fellow gatekeepers from his family( the Korahites) were responsible for guarding the thresholds of the tent just as their ancestors had been responsible for guarding the entrance to the dwelling of the Lord.

Shallum was the son of Kore. Kore was the son of Ebiasaph. Ebiasaph was the son of Korah. Shallum and the other Levites in his family belonged to the family line of Korah. They had the duty of guarding the entrances to the tent. From long ago, their people had the duty of guarding the entrance to the house of the Lord.

Shallum the son of Kore, son of Ebiasaph, son of Korah, and his kinsmen of his fathers’ house, the Korahites, were in charge of the work of the service, keepers of the thresholds of the tent, as their fathers had been in charge of the camp of the Lord, keepers of the entrance.

Shallum was the son of Kore, a descendant of Abiasaph, from the clan of Korah. He and his relatives, the Korahites, were responsible for guarding the entrance to the sanctuary, just as their ancestors had guarded the Tabernacle in the camp of the Lord.

Shallum son of Kore, son of Ebiasaph, son of Korah and his relatives from his ancestral family, the Korahites, were assigned to guard the thresholds of the tent. Their ancestors had been assigned to the LORD’s camp as guardians of the entrance.

又說：「你們當這樣行：祭司和利未人凡安息日進班的，三分之一要把守各門，三分之一要在王宮，三分之一要在基址門；眾百姓要在耶和華殿的院內。除了祭司和供職的利未人之外，不准別人進耶和華的殿；惟獨他們可以進去，因為他們聖潔。眾百姓要遵守耶和華所吩咐的。利未人要手中各拿兵器，四圍護衛王；凡擅入殿宇的，必當治死。王出入的時候，你們當跟隨他。」利未人和猶大眾人都照着祭司耶何耶大一切所吩咐的去行，各帶所管安息日進班出班的人來，因為祭司耶何耶大不許他們下班。祭司耶何耶大便將神殿裏所藏大衛王的槍、盾牌、擋牌交給百夫長，又分派眾民手中各拿兵器，在壇和殿那裏，從殿右直到殿左，站在王子的四圍；

哥轄的兒子是亞米拿達；亞米拿達的兒子是可拉；可拉的兒子是亞惜；亞惜的兒子是以利加拿；以利加拿的兒子是以比雅撒；以比雅撒的兒子是亞惜；

以利押的眾子是尼母利、大坍、亞比蘭。這大坍、亞比蘭，就是從會中選召的，與可拉一黨同向耶和華爭鬧的時候也向摩西、亞倫爭鬧；地便開口吞了他們，和可拉、可拉的黨類一同死亡。那時火燒滅了二百五十個人；他們就作了警戒。然而可拉的眾子沒有死亡。

祭司耶何耶大吩咐管轄軍兵的百夫長說：「將她趕出班外，凡跟隨她的必用刀殺死！」因為祭司說「不可在耶和華殿裏殺她」，

他們無論大小，都按着宗族掣籤分守各門。掣籤守東門的是示利米雅；他的兒子撒迦利亞是精明的謀士，掣籤守北門。俄別‧以東守南門，他的兒子守庫房。書聘與何薩守西門，在靠近沙利基門、通着往上去的街道上，班與班相對。每日東門有六個利未人，北門有四個，南門有四個，庫房有兩個，又有兩個輪班替換。在西面街道上有四個，在遊廊上有兩個。以上是可拉子孫和米拉利子孫守門的班次。

神啊，你在古時，我們列祖的日子所行的事，我們親耳聽見了；我們的列祖也給我們述說過。

萬民哪，你們都當聽這話！世上一切的居民，

眾百夫長就照着祭司耶何耶大一切所吩咐的去行，各帶所管安息日進班出班的人來見祭司耶何耶大。

神啊，我的心切慕你，如鹿切慕溪水。

在你的院宇住一日，勝似在別處住千日；寧可在我神殿中看門，不願住在惡人的帳棚裏。
