主耶和華如此說：「內院朝東的門，在辦理事務的六日內必須關閉；惟有安息日和月朔必須敞開。王要從這門的廊進入，站在門框旁邊。祭司要為他預備燔祭和平安祭，他就要在門檻那裏敬拜，然後出去。這門直到晚上不可關閉。

這些人都是守門的班長，與他們的弟兄一同在耶和華殿裏按班供職。他們無論大小，都按着宗族掣籤分守各門。掣籤守東門的是示利米雅；他的兒子撒迦利亞是精明的謀士，掣籤守北門。俄別‧以東守南門，他的兒子守庫房。書聘與何薩守西門，在靠近沙利基門、通着往上去的街道上，班與班相對。每日東門有六個利未人，北門有四個，南門有四個，庫房有兩個，又有兩個輪班替換。在西面街道上有四個，在遊廊上有兩個。以上是可拉子孫和米拉利子孫守門的班次。

那人正在稱為所羅門的廊下，拉着彼得、約翰；眾百姓一齊跑到他們那裏，很覺希奇。

耶和華對我說：「這門必須關閉，不可敞開，誰也不可由其中進入；因為耶和華－以色列的神已經由其中進入，所以必須關閉。至於王，他必按王的位分，坐在其內，在耶和華面前吃餅。他必由這門的廊而入，也必由此而出。」

席上的珍饈美味，羣臣分列而坐，僕人兩旁侍立，以及他們的衣服裝飾和酒政的衣服裝飾，又見他上耶和華殿的臺階，就詫異得神不守舍；

又率領百夫長和迦利人與護衛兵，以及國中的眾民，請王從耶和華殿下來，由護衛兵的門進入王宮，他就坐了王位。
