Shallum son of Kore, the son of Ebiasaph, the son of Korah, and his fellow gatekeepers from his family( the Korahites) were responsible for guarding the thresholds of the tent just as their ancestors had been responsible for guarding the entrance to the dwelling of the Lord.

Shallum was the son of Kore. Kore was the son of Ebiasaph. Ebiasaph was the son of Korah. Shallum and the other Levites in his family belonged to the family line of Korah. They had the duty of guarding the entrances to the tent. From long ago, their people had the duty of guarding the entrance to the house of the Lord.

Shallum the son of Kore, son of Ebiasaph, son of Korah, and his kinsmen of his fathers’ house, the Korahites, were in charge of the work of the service, keepers of the thresholds of the tent, as their fathers had been in charge of the camp of the Lord, keepers of the entrance.

Shallum was the son of Kore, a descendant of Abiasaph, from the clan of Korah. He and his relatives, the Korahites, were responsible for guarding the entrance to the sanctuary, just as their ancestors had guarded the Tabernacle in the camp of the Lord.

Shallum son of Kore, son of Ebiasaph, son of Korah and his relatives from his ancestral family, the Korahites, were assigned to guard the thresholds of the tent. Their ancestors had been assigned to the LORD’s camp as guardians of the entrance.

你們要這樣行：你們中間每逢安息日來值班的祭司和利未人，三分之一要把守各門；三分之一要在王宮，三分之一要在基址門；全體人民都要在耶和華殿的院子裡。除了祭司和供職的利未人以外，任何人不得進入耶和華的殿，只有他們可以進去，因為他們是分別為聖的；全體人民都要遵守耶和華的吩咐。利未人要在周圍環繞君王，各人手裡拿著武器；擅自進殿的，都必被處死；王出入的時候，你們都要隨著他。”利未人和猶大眾人都照著耶何耶大祭司吩咐的一切去行；他們各人帶著在安息日值班或在安息日下班的人來，因為耶何耶大祭司不准他們下班。於是耶何耶大祭司把神的殿裡，原本屬於大衛王的矛槍、大盾和小盾，交給了眾百夫長；他又分派眾民，手中各拿兵器，守在祭壇和殿的四周，從殿的右面到殿的左面，環繞著王。

哥轄的子孫如下：哥轄的兒子是亞米拿達，亞米拿達的兒子是可拉，可拉的兒子是亞惜，亞惜的兒子是以利加拿，以利加拿的兒子是以比雅撒，以比雅撒的兒子是亞惜，

以利押的兒子是尼母利、大坍、亞比蘭。這大坍和亞比蘭原是從會眾中選拔出來的，他們和可拉一黨的人一起與耶和華爭吵，也與摩西和亞倫爭吵的時候，地開了口，把他們和可拉吞了下去；可拉與他的同黨都死了，那時有火吞滅了二百五十個人，他們成了警戒。但是，可拉的子孫卻沒有死亡。

耶何耶大祭司吩咐眾百夫長，就是統領軍兵的，對他們說：“把她從各班軍兵中趕出去，跟隨她的，都要用刀殺死。”因為祭司說：“不可在耶和華的殿內殺死她。”

他們無論大小，都按著他們的家族抽籤，看守各門。抽出守東門的籤的是示利米雅。他的兒子撒迦利亞是個聰明的謀士，他們為他抽出了守北面的籤。俄別．以東守南門；他的兒子守庫房。書聘和何薩守西門，以及在斜路上的沙利基門；守衛的人相對而立。守東門的有六個利未人，守北門的每日有四人，守南門的每日有四人，守庫房的兩人一組。在西面的前廊有四人在大路上，在前廊那裡有兩個人。以上這些人是可拉子孫和米拉利子孫守門的人的班次。

神啊！你在古時，在我們列祖的日子所作的事，我們親耳聽見了，我們的列祖也給我們述說過。

萬民哪！你們要聽這話；世上的居民哪！你們要留心聽。

於是眾百夫長照著耶何耶大祭司的一切吩咐去行。他們各自率領人馬，無論在安息日值班或不用當值的，都來到耶何耶大祭司那裡。

神啊！我的心渴慕你，好像鹿渴慕溪水。

在你院子裡住一日，勝過在別處住千日；寧願站在我神殿中的門檻上，也不願住在惡人的帳棚裡。
