主耶和华如此说：“内院朝东的门，在办理事务的六日内必须关闭；惟有安息日和月朔必须敞开。王要从这门的廊进入，站在门框旁边。祭司要为他预备燔祭和平安祭，他就要在门槛那里敬拜，然后出去。这门直到晚上不可关闭。

这些人都是守门的班长，与他们的弟兄一同在耶和华殿里按班供职。他们无论大小，都按着宗族掣签分守各门。掣签守东门的是示利米雅；他的儿子撒迦利亚是精明的谋士，掣签守北门。俄别以东守南门，他的儿子守库房。书聘与何萨守西门，在靠近沙利基门、通着往上去的街道上，班与班相对。每日东门有六个利未人，北门有四个，南门有四个，库房有两个，又有两个轮班替换。在西面街道上有四个，在游廊上有两个。以上是可拉子孙和米拉利子孙守门的班次。

那人正在称为所罗门的廊下，拉着彼得、约翰；众百姓一齐跑到他们那里，很觉希奇。

耶和华对我说：“这门必须关闭，不可敞开，谁也不可由其中进入；因为耶和华以色列的神已经由其中进入，所以必须关闭。至于王，他必按王的位分，坐在其内，在耶和华面前吃饼。他必由这门的廊而入，也必由此而出。”

席上的珍馐美味，群臣分列而坐，仆人两旁侍立，以及他们的衣服装饰和酒政的衣服装饰，又见他上耶和华殿的台阶，就诧异得神不守舍；

又率领百夫长和迦利人与护卫兵，以及国中的众民，请王从耶和华殿下来，由护卫兵的门进入王宫，他就坐了王位。
