The people rejoiced at the willing response of their leaders, for they had given freely and wholeheartedly to the Lord. David the king also rejoiced greatly.

The people were happy when they saw what their leaders had been willing to give. The leaders had given freely. With their whole heart they had given everything to the Lord. King David was filled with joy.

Then the people rejoiced because they had given willingly, for with a whole heart they had offered freely to the Lord. David the king also rejoiced greatly.

Each one of you should give just as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, because God loves a cheerful giver.And God is able to make all grace overflow to you so that because you have enough of everything in every way at all times, you will overflow in every good work.

I know, my God, that you examine thoughts and are pleased with integrity. With pure motives I contribute all this; and now I look with joy as your people who have gathered here contribute to you.

I have great joy in the Lord because now at last you have again expressed your concern for me.( Now I know you were concerned before but had no opportunity to do anything.)

I have told you these things so that my joy may be in you, and your joy may be complete.

But now Timothy has come to us from you and given us the good news of your faith and love and that you always think of us with affection and long to see us just as we also long to see you!So in all our distress and affliction, we were reassured about you, brothers and sisters, through your faith.For now we are alive again, if you stand firm in the Lord.For how can we thank God enough for you, for all the joy we feel because of you before our God?

Then you are to celebrate the Festival of Weeks before the LORD your God with the voluntary offering that you will bring, in proportion to how he has blessed you.You shall rejoice before him– you, your son, your daughter, your male and female slaves, the Levites in your villages, the resident foreigners, the orphans, and the widows among you– in the place where the LORD chooses to locate his name.

Returning home, he calls together his friends and neighbors, telling them,‘ Rejoice with me, because I have found my sheep that was lost.’

For if the eagerness is present, the gift itself is acceptable according to whatever one has, not according to what he does not have.

My heart went out to Israel’s leaders, to the people who answered the call to war. Praise the LORD!

So then, my brothers and sisters, dear friends whom I long to see, my joy and crown, stand in the Lord in this way, my dear friends!

Your people willingly follow you when you go into battle. On the holy hills at sunrise the dew of your youth belongs to you.

My child, if your heart is wise, then my heart also will be glad;my soul will rejoice when your lips speak what is right.

so that you may be blameless and pure, children of God without blemish though you live in a crooked and perverse society, in which you shine as lights in the worldby holding on to the word of life so that on the day of Christ I will have a reason to boast that I did not run in vain nor labor in vain.But even if I am being poured out like a drink offering on the sacrifice and service of your faith, I am glad and rejoice together with all of you.
