So Solomon sat on the throne of the Lord as king in place of his father David. He prospered and all Israel obeyed him.

於是所羅門坐在他父親的王位上，他的國非常穩固。

在我的眾子中（因為耶和華賜給我許多兒子），他揀選了我的兒子所羅門，坐耶和華的國位，統治以色列。

我勸你，因為你指著神起了誓，你就要遵守王的命令。不要輕率離開王的面前，也不要參與惡事，因為王可以隨己意作任何事。既然王的話有權柄，誰敢問他：“你在作甚麼？”遵守命令的，必不遭受災禍；智慧人的心，曉得時機，懂得判斷。

深願耶和華賜你聰明和智慧，使你治理以色列的時候，謹守耶和華你的神的律法。

政府的權柄，人人都應當服從。因為沒有一樣權柄不是從神來的；掌權的都是神設立的。

你的壽數滿足，歸你列祖那裡的時候，我必興起你的後裔接替你，他是你的眾子中的一位；我必堅立他的國。他要為我建造殿宇，我必堅立他的王位，直到永遠。

耶和華實實在在向大衛起了誓，他必不會收回，他說：“我要從你的後裔中，立一位坐在你的王位上。

因為有一個嬰孩為我們而生，有一個兒子賜給我們；政權必擔在他的肩頭上；他的名必稱為“奇妙的策士、全能的神、永恆的父、和平的君”。他的政權與平安必無窮無盡地增加，他在大衛的寶座上治理他的國，以公平和公義使國堅立穩固，從現在直到永遠。萬軍之耶和華的熱心必成全這事。
