在耶和華前、式飲式食、欣喜懽忭、以大闢子所羅門再立為王、奉耶和華命、沐之以膏、俾作民主、以撒督為祭司長、

眾於是日、皆大喜樂、式食式飲於主前、以大衛子所羅門再立為王、膏之於主前為君、又膏撒督為大祭司、

They ate and drank with great joy in the presence of the Lord that day. Then they acknowledged Solomon son of David as king a second time, anointing him before the Lord to be ruler and Zadok to be priest.

They ate and drank with great joy that day. They did it in front of the Lord. Then they announced a second time that Solomon was king. He was the son of David. They anointed Solomon in front of the Lord. They anointed him to be ruler. They also anointed Zadok to be priest.

And they ate and drank before the Lord on that day with great gladness. And they made Solomon the son of David king the second time, and they anointed him as prince for the Lord, and Zadok as priest.

They feasted and drank in the Lord’s presence with great joy that day. And again they crowned David’s son Solomon as their new king. They anointed him before the Lord as their leader, and they anointed Zadok as priest.

They held a feast before the LORD that day and celebrated. Then they designated Solomon, David’s son, as king a second time; before the LORD they anointed him as ruler and Zadok as priest.

大衛年老，壽數將盡的時候，就立他的兒子所羅門作王統治以色列。

王任命耶何耶大的兒子比拿雅取代約押統領軍隊；又任命撒督祭司取代亞比亞他的職位。

在那裡撒督祭司和拿單先知要膏立他作以色列的王。你們要吹角，說：‘所羅門王萬歲！’然後你們要跟隨他上來；他要來坐在我的王位上；他要接續我作王。我已經立了他作以色列和猶大的統治者。”耶何耶大的兒子比拿雅回答王說：“阿們！願耶和華我主我王的神也是這樣說。耶和華怎樣與我主我王同在，願他也照樣與所羅門同在，使他的王位，比我主大衛王的王位更偉大。”於是撒督祭司、拿單先知和耶何耶大的兒子比拿雅，以及基利提人和比利提人都下去，使所羅門騎上大衛王的騾子，送他到基訓去。撒督祭司從帳幕裡拿出那盛膏油的角，膏立所羅門；然後有人吹角，眾民就說：“所羅門王萬歲！”

你只管快快樂樂地去吃你的飯，懷著高興的心去喝你的酒，因為神已經悅納了你所作的。

在那裡，就是在耶和華你們的神面前，你們和你們的家人都可以吃；並且要因你們手所作的一切事，都蒙耶和華你的神賜福而歡樂。

於是拔示巴面伏在地，向王叩拜，說：“願我主大衛王萬歲！”

我曉得人生最好是尋樂享福，人人有吃有喝，在自己的一切勞碌中自得其樂；這就是神的恩賜。

那時，你要把我吩咐你們的燔祭和其他的祭物、十分之一的禮物和手中的貢獻，以及你們向耶和華許願要獻的最美的一切還願祭，都要帶到耶和華你們的神選擇作為立他名的地方。你們和你們的兒女、僕婢，以及住在你們城裡的利未人，都要在耶和華你們的神面前歡樂，因為利未人在你們中間無分無業。

你要囑咐那些今世富有的人，叫他們不要心高氣傲，也不要寄望在浮動的財富上，卻要仰望那厚賜百物給我們享用的神。又要囑咐他們行善，在善事上富足，慷慨好施。

於是我稱頌快樂，因為人在日光之下最好是吃喝快樂。這是人在日光之下，神賜給他一生的年日裡，從自己勞碌中所得的享受。

在這節期以內，你和你的兒女、僕婢，以及住在你城裡的利未人、寄居者、孤兒和寡婦，都要歡樂。你要在耶和華選擇的地方，向耶和華你的神守節七日，因為耶和華你的神，要在你一切土產上，和你手所作的一切事上，賜福給你，你就滿有歡樂。每年三次，就是在除酵節、七七節、住棚節，你所有的男丁都要在耶和華選擇的地方，朝見耶和華你的神；但不可空手朝見耶和華。各人要按手中的力量，照著耶和華你的神賜你的福，奉獻禮物。

眾民就去吃喝，也把部分飲食與人分享，大大歡樂。因為他們明白教訓他們的話。

七月二十三日，王遣散眾民回家；他們因看見耶和華向大衛、所羅門和他的子民以色列所施的恩惠，心裡都歡喜快樂。

他不伸手攻擊以色列人中的顯貴；他們看見神，並且又吃又喝。

人最好是吃喝，在自己的勞碌中自得其樂；我看這也是出於神的手。
