Then King David said to the entire assembly,“ My son Solomon, whom alone God has chosen, is still young and inexperienced, and the work is great; for the temple is not for mankind, but for the Lord God.

大衛王對全體大眾說：『我兒子所羅門、上帝所選擇的人、還年青嬌嫩，而這工程卻很大；因為這殿宇不是要為着人，乃是要為着永恆主上帝而建的。

大衛王謂會眾曰、我子所羅門、乃耶和華所簡、今尚冲弱、而工程浩大、蓋此殿宇非為人也、乃為耶和華上帝也、

大闢王告會眾曰、我子所羅門、尚在弱齡、上帝特遴選之、工作甚鉅、蓋殿非為人也、乃為上帝耶和華。

大衛王謂會眾曰、我子所羅門、主特選之、今尚幼弱、而工作甚大、蓋殿宇非為人、乃為主爾之天主、

Then King David said to the whole assembly:“ My son Solomon, the one whom God has chosen, is young and inexperienced. The task is great, because this palatial structure is not for man but for the Lord God.

Then King David spoke to the whole community. He said,“ God has chosen my son Solomon. But Solomon is young. He’s never done anything like this before. The task is huge. This grand and wonderful temple won’t be built for human beings. It will be built for the Lord God.

And David the king said to all the assembly,“ Solomon my son, whom alone God has chosen, is young and inexperienced, and the work is great, for the palace will not be for man but for the Lord God.

Then King David turned to the entire assembly and said,“ My son Solomon, whom God has clearly chosen as the next king of Israel, is still young and inexperienced. The work ahead of him is enormous, for the Temple he will build is not for mere mortals— it is for the Lord God himself!

Then King David said to all the assembly,“ My son Solomon— God has chosen him alone— is young and inexperienced. The task is great because the building will not be built for a human but for the LORD God.

Furthermore King David said to all the assembly:“ My son Solomon, whom alone God has chosen, is young and inexperienced; and the work is great, because the temple is not for man but for the Lord God.

And David the king said unto all the assembly, Solomon my son, whom alone God hath chosen, is yet young and tender, and the work is great; for the palace is not for man, but for Jehovah God.

Then King David said to all the assembly,“ My son Solomon— God has chosen him alone— is young and inexperienced. The task is great because the temple will not be for man but for the Lord God.

Furthermore David the king said unto all the congregation, Solomon my son, whom alone God hath chosen,[ is yet] young and tender, and the work[ is] great: for the palace[ is] not for man, but for the LORD God.

King David said to the entire assembly:“ My son Solomon, the one whom God has chosen, is just an inexperienced young man, and the task is great, for this palace is not for man, but for the LORD God.

David the king said to all the assembly,“ Solomon my son, whom alone God has chosen, is yet young and tender, and the work is great; for the palace is not for man, but for Yahweh God.

David said,“ My son Solomon is young and inexperienced, and the house that is to be built for the Lord shall be exceedingly magnificent, famous, and glorious throughout the lands. Therefore I now will make preparations for it.” So David made ample preparations before his death.

And now, Lord my God, You have made Your servant king in place of my father David, yet I am like a little boy; I do not know how to go out or come in.

and worthless men gathered to him, wicked men, who proved too strong for Rehoboam, the son of Solomon, when he was young and timid and could not hold his own against them.

Behold, I am about to build a house for the name of the Lord my God, dedicating it to Him, to burn fragrant incense before Him and to set out the showbread continually, and to offer burnt offerings morning and evening, on Sabbaths, on new moons, and on the appointed feasts of the Lord our God. This is to be done in Israel forever.The house which I am about to build will be great, for our God is greater than all the gods.

Nevertheless you shall not build the house, but your son who will be born to you, he will build the house for My name.’Now the Lord has fulfilled His word which He spoke; for I have risen in place of my father David and I sit on the throne of Israel, just as the Lord promised, and I have built the house for the name of the Lord, the God of Israel.

When I was a son to my father, Tender and the only son in the sight of my mother,

Then I said,“ Oh, Lord God! Behold, I do not know how to speak, Because I am a youth.”But the Lord said to me,“ Do not say,‘ I am a youth,’ Because everywhere I send you, you shall go, And all that I command you, you shall speak.

Consider now, for the Lord has chosen you to build a house for the sanctuary; be courageous and act.”

Of all my sons( for the Lord has given me many sons), He has chosen my son Solomon to sit on the throne of the kingdom of the Lord over Israel.He said to me,‘ Your son Solomon is the one who shall build My house and My courtyards; for I have chosen him to be a son to Me, and I will be a Father to him.

Now David assembled at Jerusalem all the officials of Israel, the leaders of the tribes, and the commanders of the divisions that served the king, the commanders of thousands, and the commanders of hundreds, and the overseers of all the property and livestock belonging to the king and his sons, with the officials and the mighty men, all the valiant warriors.

So now, in the sight of all Israel, the assembly of the Lord, and in the presence of our God, keep and seek after all the commandments of the Lord your God so that you may possess the good land and leave it as an inheritance to your sons after you forever.

and give my son Solomon a perfect heart to keep Your commandments, Your testimonies, and Your statutes, and to do them all, and to build the temple for which I have made provision.”
