Of all my sons( for Yahweh has given me many sons), he has chosen Solomon my son to sit on the throne of Yahweh’s kingdom over Israel.

Of all my sons— and the Lord has given me many— he has chosen my son Solomon to sit on the throne of the kingdom of the Lord over Israel.

The Lord has given me many sons. From all of them he has chosen my son Solomon. He wants Solomon to sit on the throne of the Lord’ s kingdom. He wants him to rule over Israel.

And of all my sons( for the Lord has given me many sons) he has chosen Solomon my son to sit on the throne of the kingdom of the Lord over Israel.

And from among my sons— for the Lord has given me many— he chose Solomon to succeed me on the throne of Israel and to rule over the Lord’s kingdom.

And out of all my sons— for the LORD has given me many sons— he has chosen my son Solomon to sit on the throne of the LORD’s kingdom over Israel.

Of all my sons( for the Lord has given me many sons), He has chosen my son Solomon to sit on the throne of the kingdom of the Lord over Israel.

And of all my sons,( for the LORD hath given me many sons,) he hath chosen Solomon my son to sit upon the throne of the kingdom of the LORD over Israel.

From all the many sons the LORD has given me, he chose Solomon my son to rule on his behalf over Israel.

Now these were the sons of David, who were born to him in Hebron: the firstborn, Amnon, of Ahinoam the Jezreelitess; the second, Daniel, of Abigail the Carmelitess;the third, Absalom the son of Maacah the daughter of Talmai king of Geshur; the fourth, Adonijah the son of Haggith;the fifth, Shephatiah of Abital; the sixth, Ithream by Eglah his wife:six were born to him in Hebron; and he reigned there seven years and six months. He reigned thirty- three years in Jerusalem;and these were born to him in Jerusalem: Shimea, Shobab, Nathan, and Solomon, four, of Bathshua the daughter of Ammiel;and Ibhar, Elishama, Eliphelet,Nogah, Nepheg, Japhia,Elishama, Eliada, and Eliphelet, nine.All these were the sons of David, in addition to the sons of the concubines; and Tamar was their sister.

Now David was old and full of days; and he made Solomon his son king over Israel.

Behold, a son shall be born to you, who shall be a man of peace. I will give him rest from all his enemies all around; for his name shall be Solomon, and I will give peace and quietness to Israel in his days.He shall build a house for my name; and he will be my son, and I will be his father; and I will establish the throne of his kingdom over Israel forever.’

but I will settle him in my house and in my kingdom forever. His throne will be established forever.”’”

God, give the king your justice; your righteousness to the royal son.He will judge your people with righteousness, and your poor with justice.The mountains shall bring prosperity to the people. The hills bring the fruit of righteousness.He will judge the poor of the people. He will save the children of the needy, and will break the oppressor in pieces.They shall fear you while the sun endures; and as long as the moon, throughout all generations.He will come down like rain on the mown grass, as showers that water the earth.In his days, the righteous shall flourish, and abundance of peace, until the moon is no more.He shall have dominion also from sea to sea, from the River to the ends of the earth.Those who dwell in the wilderness shall bow before him. His enemies shall lick the dust.The kings of Tarshish and of the islands will bring tribute. The kings of Sheba and Seba shall offer gifts.Yes, all kings shall fall down before him. All nations shall serve him.For he will deliver the needy when he cries; the poor, who has no helper.He will have pity on the poor and needy. He will save the souls of the needy.He will redeem their soul from oppression and violence. Their blood will be precious in his sight.They shall live, and to him shall be given of the gold of Sheba. Men shall pray for him continually. They shall bless him all day long.Abundance of grain shall be throughout the land. Its fruit sways like Lebanon. Let it flourish, thriving like the grass of the field.His name endures forever. His name continues as long as the sun. Men shall be blessed by him. All nations will call him blessed.Praise be to Yahweh God, the God of Israel, who alone does marvelous deeds.Blessed be his glorious name forever! Let the whole earth be filled with his glory! Amen and amen.This ends the prayers by David, the son of Jesse.

For a child is born to us. A son is given to us; and the government will be on his shoulders. His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.Of the increase of his government and of peace there shall be no end, on David’s throne, and on his kingdom, to establish it, and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness from that time on, even forever. The zeal of Yahweh of Armies will perform this.

Then Solomon sat on the throne of Yahweh as king instead of David his father, and prospered; and all Israel obeyed him.

Solomon said to God,“ You have shown great loving kindness to David my father, and have made me king in his place.Now, Yahweh God, let your promise to David my father be established; for you have made me king over a people like the dust of the earth in multitude.

David the king said to all the assembly,“ Solomon my son, whom alone God has chosen, is yet young and tender, and the work is great; for the palace is not for man, but for Yahweh God.

David took more wives at Jerusalem, and David became the father of more sons and daughters.These are the names of the children whom he had in Jerusalem: Shammua, Shobab, Nathan, Solomon,Ibhar, Elishua, Elpelet,Nogah, Nepheg, Japhia,Elishama, Beeliada, and Eliphelet.
