And of all my sons( for the Lord has given me many sons) he has chosen Solomon my son to sit on the throne of the kingdom of the Lord over Israel.

Of all my sons— and the Lord has given me many— he has chosen my son Solomon to sit on the throne of the kingdom of the Lord over Israel.

The Lord has given me many sons. From all of them he has chosen my son Solomon. He wants Solomon to sit on the throne of the Lord’ s kingdom. He wants him to rule over Israel.

And from among my sons— for the Lord has given me many— he chose Solomon to succeed me on the throne of Israel and to rule over the Lord’s kingdom.

And out of all my sons— for the LORD has given me many sons— he has chosen my son Solomon to sit on the throne of the LORD’s kingdom over Israel.

Of all my sons( for the Lord has given me many sons), He has chosen my son Solomon to sit on the throne of the kingdom of the Lord over Israel.

From all the many sons the LORD has given me, he chose Solomon my son to rule on his behalf over Israel.

These are the sons of David who were born to him in Hebron: the firstborn, Amnon, by Ahinoam the Jezreelite; the second, Daniel, by Abigail the Carmelite,the third, Absalom, whose mother was Maacah, the daughter of Talmai, king of Geshur; the fourth, Adonijah, whose mother was Haggith;the fifth, Shephatiah, by Abital; the sixth, Ithream, by his wife Eglah;six were born to him in Hebron, where he reigned for seven years and six months. And he reigned thirty-three years in Jerusalem.These were born to him in Jerusalem: Shimea, Shobab, Nathan and Solomon, four by Bath-shua, the daughter of Ammiel;then Ibhar, Elishama, Eliphelet,Nogah, Nepheg, Japhia,Elishama, Eliada, and Eliphelet, nine.All these were David’s sons, besides the sons of the concubines, and Tamar was their sister.

When David was old and full of days, he made Solomon his son king over Israel.

Behold, a son shall be born to you who shall be a man of rest. I will give him rest from all his surrounding enemies. For his name shall be Solomon, and I will give peace and quiet to Israel in his days.He shall build a house for my name. He shall be my son, and I will be his father, and I will establish his royal throne in Israel forever.’

but I will confirm him in my house and in my kingdom forever, and his throne shall be established forever.’”

Give the king your justice, O God, and your righteousness to the royal son!May he judge your people with righteousness, and your poor with justice!Let the mountains bear prosperity for the people, and the hills, in righteousness!May he defend the cause of the poor of the people, give deliverance to the children of the needy, and crush the oppressor!May they fear you while the sun endures, and as long as the moon, throughout all generations!May he be like rain that falls on the mown grass, like showers that water the earth!In his days may the righteous flourish, and peace abound, till the moon be no more!May he have dominion from sea to sea, and from the River to the ends of the earth!May desert tribes bow down before him, and his enemies lick the dust!May the kings of Tarshish and of the coastlands render him tribute; may the kings of Sheba and Seba bring gifts!May all kings fall down before him, all nations serve him!For he delivers the needy when he calls, the poor and him who has no helper.He has pity on the weak and the needy, and saves the lives of the needy.From oppression and violence he redeems their life, and precious is their blood in his sight.Long may he live; may gold of Sheba be given to him! May prayer be made for him continually, and blessings invoked for him all the day!May there be abundance of grain in the land; on the tops of the mountains may it wave; may its fruit be like Lebanon; and may people blossom in the cities like the grass of the field!May his name endure forever, his fame continue as long as the sun! May people be blessed in him, all nations call him blessed!Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel, who alone does wondrous things.Blessed be his glorious name forever; may the whole earth be filled with his glory! For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.Of the increase of his government and of peace there will be no end, on the throne of David and over his kingdom, to establish it and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness from this time forth and forevermore. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will do this.

Then Solomon sat on the throne of the Lord as king in place of David his father. And he prospered, and all Israel obeyed him.

And Solomon said to God,“ You have shown great and steadfast love to David my father, and have made me king in his place.O Lord God, let your word to David my father be now fulfilled, for you have made me king over a people as numerous as the dust of the earth.

And David the king said to all the assembly,“ Solomon my son, whom alone God has chosen, is young and inexperienced, and the work is great, for the palace will not be for man but for the Lord God.

And David took more wives in Jerusalem, and David fathered more sons and daughters.These are the names of the children born to him in Jerusalem: Shammua, Shobab, Nathan, Solomon,Ibhar, Elishua, Elpelet,Nogah, Nepheg, Japhia,Elishama, Beeliada and Eliphelet.
