“ Yet the Lord, the God of Israel, chose me from my whole family to be king over Israel forever. He chose Judah as leader, and from the tribe of Judah he chose my family, and from my father’s sons he was pleased to make me king over all Israel.

“ But the Lord chose me. He is the God of Israel. He chose me from my whole family to be king over Israel forever. He chose Judah to lead the tribes. From the tribe of Judah he chose my family. From my father’s sons he chose me. He was pleased to make me king over the whole nation of Israel.

Yet the Lord God of Israel chose me from all my father’s house to be king over Israel forever. For he chose Judah as leader, and in the house of Judah my father’s house, and among my father’s sons he took pleasure in me to make me king over all Israel.

“ Yet the Lord, the God of Israel, has chosen me from among all my father’s family to be king over Israel forever. For he has chosen the tribe of Judah to rule, and from among the families of Judah he chose my father’s family. And from among my father’s sons the Lord was pleased to make me king over all Israel.

“ Yet the LORD God of Israel chose me out of all my father’s family to be king over Israel forever. For he chose Judah as leader, and from the house of Judah, my father’s family, and from my father’s sons, he was pleased to make me king over all Israel.

Yet, the Lord, the God of Israel, chose me from all the household of my father to be king over Israel forever. For He has chosen Judah to be a leader; and in the house of Judah, my father’s house, and among the sons of my father He took pleasure in me to make me king over all Israel.

However the Lord God of Israel chose me above all the house of my father to be king over Israel forever, for He has chosen Judah to be the ruler. And of the house of Judah, the house of my father, and among the sons of my father, He was pleased with me to make me king over all Israel.

Howbeit Jehovah, the God of Israel, chose me out of all the house of my father to be king over Israel for ever: for he hath chosen Judah to be prince; and in the house of Judah, the house of my father; and among the sons of my father he took pleasure in me to make me king over all Israel;

“ Yet the Lord God of Israel chose me out of all my father’s household to be king over Israel forever. For He chose Judah as leader, and from the house of Judah, my father’s household, and from my father’s sons, He was pleased to make me king over all Israel.

Howbeit the LORD God of Israel chose me before all the house of my father to be king over Israel for ever: for he hath chosen Judah[ to be] the ruler; and of the house of Judah, the house of my father; and among the sons of my father he liked me to make[ me] king over all Israel:

The LORD God of Israel chose me out of my father’s entire family to become king over Israel and have a permanent dynasty. Indeed, he chose Judah as leader, and my father’s family within Judah, and then he picked me out from among my father’s sons and made me king over all Israel.

However Yahweh, the God of Israel, chose me out of all the house of my father to be king over Israel forever. For he has chosen Judah to be prince; and in the house of Judah, the house of my father; and among the sons of my father he took pleasure in me to make me king over all Israel.

耶和华对撒母耳说：“我已经拒绝让扫罗做以色列王了，你还要为他哀伤多久呢？把你的角盛满膏油，我要差遣你到伯利恒的耶西那里，我已选了他的一个儿子做王。”

犹大虽然在众弟兄中最强大，君王也是出自他的后裔，长子的名分却属于约瑟。

耶西及其众子来了，撒母耳看见以利押，心里想：“这位肯定是耶和华要膏立的人。”但耶和华对撒母耳说：“不要看他相貌堂堂、身材高大，我要选的不是他。耶和华不像世人那样看人，人看外表，耶和华看内心。”耶西吩咐他的儿子亚比拿达从撒母耳面前走过，但撒母耳说：“这也不是耶和华拣选的人。”耶西又叫沙玛从撒母耳面前走过，但撒母耳说：“这也不是耶和华拣选的人。”耶西叫七个儿子一个一个从撒母耳面前走过，但撒母耳说他们都不是耶和华拣选的人。撒母耳问耶西：“你的儿子全都到齐了吗？”耶西答道：“还有一个最小的，他正在田间放羊。”撒母耳对耶西说：“派人叫他回来，他不来，我们就不入座。”耶西就派人去叫他回来。他面色红润，眉清目秀，相貌英俊。耶和华说：“就是他，起来膏立他吧。”撒母耳就拿出盛膏油的角，当着他哥哥们的面膏立他。从那天起，耶和华的灵降在大卫身上。事后，撒母耳回拉玛去了。

愿你赐福仆人的王朝，使它在你面前永远坚立。耶和华啊，你已赐下祝福，你的祝福是永远的！”

“现在你要告诉我的仆人大卫，万军之耶和华说，‘你原本在草场牧羊，我召你来做我以色列子民的首领。无论你去哪里，我都与你同在，为你铲除所有仇敌。现在我要使你声名远播，与世上的伟人齐名。我必为我的以色列子民预备一个地方，栽培他们，让他们住在自己的家园，不再受惊扰，不会像从前我设立士师治理他们的时候那样受恶人压迫。我必使你安定，免受仇敌的侵扰。我耶和华向你宣告，我必建立你的王室。

“犹大啊，你的兄弟们必赞美你，你必制服你的仇敌，你父亲的儿子必向你下拜。我儿犹大是头小狮子，他猎食回来，躺卧如雄狮，蹲伏如母狮，谁敢惊扰他？王权必不离犹大，御杖必伴他左右，直到那位执掌王权的来到，万民都必归顺他。

“耶和华啊，愿你永远信守你对仆人和仆人家的应许，愿你成就自己的应许。

西弗人到基比亚见扫罗，说：“大卫正躲在旷野附近的哈基拉山中。”

祂拣选了犹大支派，祂所喜爱的锡安山。祂为自己建造高耸的圣所，使它像大地一样长存。祂拣选了祂的仆人大卫，把他从羊圈中召来，让他离开牧羊的生活，去牧养祂的子民雅各的后裔，牧养祂的产业以色列。于是，大卫以正直的心牧养他们，用灵巧的手带领他们。

基列是我的，玛拿西也是我的，以法莲是我的头盔，犹大是我的权杖。

祂拯救我，领我到宽阔之地，因为祂喜悦我。

他们因你的名终日欢欣，因你的公义而雀跃。你是他们的力量和荣耀，你的恩惠使我们充满力量。耶和华赐下保护我们的盾牌，我们的王属于以色列的圣者。你曾在异象中对你忠心的子民说：“我已把力量赐给一位勇士，已擢升我在民中拣选的人。我找到了我的仆人大卫，用我的圣油膏立他。我的手必扶持他，我的臂膀必加给他力量。仇敌胜不过他，恶人不能欺压他。我要当着他的面击垮他的敌人，打倒恨他的人。我要以信实和慈爱待他，他必因我的名而充满力量。我要使他左手掌管大海，右手统治江河。他要向我高呼，‘你是我的父亲，我的上帝，拯救我的磐石。’我要立他为我的长子，使他做天下至尊的君王。

基列是我的，玛拿西也是我的，以法莲是我的头盔，犹大是我的权杖。

显然，我们的主基督属于犹大支派，摩西从来没有说这个支派会出祭司。

耶和华所喜悦的不是强健的马匹，也不是矫捷的战士，而是敬畏祂、仰望祂慈爱的人。
