只是神對我說：『你不可為我的名建造殿宇，因你是戰士，流了人的血。』

但上帝對我說，『你不可為我的名建造殿宇，因為你是個戰士，曾流過人的血。』

可是神對我說：‘你不可為我的名建造殿宇，因為你是個戰士，曾殺人流血。’

只是上帝對我說：『你不可為我的名建殿，因為你是戰士，你流了人的血。』

惟上帝諭我曰、爾乃戰士、流人之血、不可為我名建室、

上帝諭我曰、爾戰鬥殺人、不當建殿、為籲我名之地。

惟天主諭我曰、爾多戰殺人、殺人原文作流血不當為我名建殿、

But God said to me,‘ You are not to build a house for my Name, because you are a warrior and have shed blood.’

But God said to me,‘ You are not the one who will build a house for my Name. That is because you are a fighting man. You have spilled people’s blood.’

But God said to me,‘ You may not build a house for my name, for you are a man of war and have shed blood.’

but God said to me,‘ You must not build a Temple to honor my name, for you are a warrior and have shed much blood.’

but God said to me,‘ You are not to build a house for my name because you are a man of war and have shed blood.’

But God said to me,‘ You shall not build a house for My name, because you are a man of war and have shed blood.’

But God said to me,‘ You shall not build a house for My name, because you have been a man of war and have shed blood.’

But God said unto me, Thou shalt not build a house for my name, because thou art a man of war, and hast shed blood.

但耶和华对我说，‘你杀了许多人，打了很多仗，在我眼前使许多人血洒大地，因此你不可为我的名建造殿宇。

“你去告诉我的仆人大卫，‘耶和华说，你不是为我建造殿宇的人。’

但耶和华对我父大卫说，‘你想为我建殿，这番心意是好的，但你不要建，要由你的亲生儿子为我建殿。’

“你知道，我父大卫因周围战事连连，未能为他的上帝耶和华建殿，要等到耶和华使仇敌伏在他脚下后再建。

“你去告诉我的仆人大卫，‘耶和华说，你岂是为我建造殿宇的人？从我把以色列人带出埃及那天起，直到今天，我从未住过殿宇，一路上都住在帐篷里。在我与以色列人同行的日子，我从未责问任何我委派牧养我子民的士师，你为何不为我建香柏木的殿宇呢？’“现在你要告诉我的仆人大卫，万军之耶和华说，‘你原本在草场牧羊，我召你来做我以色列子民的首领。无论你去哪里，我都与你同在，为你铲除所有仇敌。现在我要使你声名远播，与世上的伟人齐名。我必为我的以色列子民预备一个地方，栽培他们，让他们住在自己的家园，不再受惊扰，不会像从前我设立士师治理他们的时候那样受恶人压迫。我必使你安定，免受仇敌的侵扰。我耶和华向你宣告，我必建立你的王室。
