要从会众分得的俘虏和牛、驴、羊等牲畜中抽出五十分之一交给在我圣幕司职的利未人。”摩西和以利亚撒祭司遵命而行。战士虏获的战利品中有六十七万五千只羊，七万二千头牛，六万一千头驴，三万二千名处女。战士分得的战利品有三十三万七千五百只羊，其中六百七十五只献给耶和华；三万六千头牛，其中七十二头献给耶和华；三万零五百头驴，其中六十一头献给耶和华；一万六千名处女，其中三十二人献给耶和华。摩西照耶和华的吩咐，把献给耶和华的举祭交给以利亚撒祭司。以色列会众分得的那一半战利品，即摩西从出征之人的战利品中分出来给他们的，有三十三万七千五百只羊、三万六千头牛、三万零五百头驴、一万六千名处女。摩西照耶和华的吩咐，从中抽出五十分之一交给在圣幕里司职的利未人。统领军队的千夫长和百夫长来见摩西，说：“仆人们统计了手下出征的战士，未失一兵一卒。现在我们把各自虏获的臂环、镯子、图章戒指、耳环、项链等金器都带来献给耶和华，作为我们生命的赎价。”摩西和以利亚撒祭司收了他们所献的各种金制物品。千夫长和百夫长献给耶和华作举祭的金子约二百公斤。

于是，大卫把这些器皿和他从以东、摩押、亚扪、非利士和亚玛力各国夺来的金银都分别出来，奉献给耶和华。

我已竭尽所能为我上帝的殿预备了制作金器、银器、铜器、铁器和木器所需的金银铜铁及木头，还有大量的玛瑙、镶嵌用的宝石、彩石、大理石及其他贵重的石头。而且，我因为爱慕我上帝的殿，除了预备以上物品外，还把自己珍藏的金银献上，用来建造我上帝的殿。我献上一百吨俄斐金、二百四十吨纯银，用来贴殿墙，供匠人制作金器银器。今天，有谁乐意向耶和华奉献？”结果，各族长、以色列各支派的首领、千夫长、百夫长和负责王室事务的官员都乐意奉献，他们为上帝的殿奉献了一百七十吨金子，三百四十吨银子，六百二十吨铜，三千四百吨铁。有宝石的人都把宝石交到耶和华殿的库房，由革顺人耶歇保管。因为他们诚心诚意地把东西献给上帝，百姓欢喜不已，大卫王也非常欢喜。

看啊，我历尽艰辛，为耶和华的殿预备了三千四百五十吨金子、三万四千五百吨银子和不计其数的铜和铁。我还预备了木料和石头。你还要多加预备。
