現在求你吩咐人從利巴嫩為我砍伐香柏木；我的僕人也要和你的僕人一同作；我要照你所說定的將你僕人的工價交給你；因為你自己也知道我們中間並沒有人像西頓人那樣精於砍樹木的。』希蘭聽了所羅門的話，就非常高興，說：『今日永恆主正應當受祝頌，因為他將一個有智慧的兒子賜給大衛、來管理這許多的人民。』希蘭打發人去見所羅門，說：『你差遣人向我所提的那事、我都聽見了；關於香柏木和松木的事、凡你所心願的、我都要照辦。我的僕人要從利巴嫩將這木料運下海裏；我要把木料紮成筏子，由海上運到你所叫我送到的地方，在那裏拆開，你就可以收起來；你也須要成全我的心願，將食物給我的家。』於是希蘭照所羅門所心願的將香柏木和松木給他。

所羅門差遣人去見推羅王戶蘭說：『你怎樣待我父親大衛，運香柏木給他、去給他造宮室來居住，求你也這樣待我。

他們又將銀子給了鑿石人和匠人，把食物、飲料、和油給了西頓人推羅人，叫他們將香柏木從利巴嫩運到海裏、到約帕來，照波斯王古列所准給他們運的。

推羅王希蘭差遣使者來見大衛，將香柏木、木匠、石匠送來，給大衛建造宮殿。
