He will watch over him as a shepherd guards his flock,for the LORD has ransomed Jacob and redeemed him from the power of one stronger than he.”They will come and shout for joy on the heights of Zion; they will be radiant with joy because of the LORD’s goodness, because of the grain, the new wine, the fresh oil, and because of the young of the flocks and herds. Their life will be like an irrigated garden, and they will no longer grow weak from hunger.

I will bring them out from the peoples, gather them from the countries, and bring them to their own soil. I will shepherd them on the mountains of Israel, in the ravines, and in all the inhabited places of the land.

I will plant them on their land, and they will never again be uprooted from the land I have given them. The LORD your God has spoken.

He will wipe away every tear from their eyes. Death will be no more; grief, crying, and pain will be no more, because the previous things have passed away.

I will keep my eyes on them for their good and will return them to this land. I will build them up and not demolish them; I will plant them and not uproot them.

therefore, you will no longer devour people and deprive your nation of children. This is the declaration of the Lord GOD.I will no longer allow the insults of the nations to be heard against you, and you will not have to endure the reproach of the peoples anymore; you will no longer cause your nation to stumble. in which you previously walked according to the ways of this world, according to the ruler of the power of the air, the spirit now working in the disobedient.We too all previously lived among them in our fleshly desires, carrying out the inclinations of our flesh and thoughts, and we were by nature children under wrath as the others were also.

to provide for those who mourn in Zion; to give them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, festive oil instead of mourning, and splendid clothes instead of despair. And they will be called righteous trees, planted by the LORD to glorify him.

Violence will never again be heard of in your land; devastation and destruction will be gone from your borders. You will call your walls Salvation and your city gates Praise.

In order to plant them, you displaced the nations by your hand; in order to settle them, you brought disaster on the peoples.

The enemy will not oppress him; the wicked will not afflict him.

By your wisdom and understanding you have acquired wealth for yourself. You have acquired gold and silver for your treasuries.

Your builders hurry; those who destroy and devastate you will leave you.
