Now therefore, thus shall you say to My servant David,‘ Thus says the Lord of hosts:“ I took you from the sheepfold, from following the sheep, to be ruler over My people Israel.

“现在你要告诉我的仆人大卫，‘万军之耶和华说，你原本在草场牧羊，我召你来做我以色列子民的首领。

现在你要对我的仆人大卫说：‘万军之耶和华这样说：我把你从羊圈中选召出来，使你不再跟随羊群，使你作领袖管治我的子民以色列。

現在你要對我僕人大衛這樣說：「萬軍之永恆主這麼說：我將你從羊圈中、從趕羊羣的事上選取了來，讓你做人君來管理我人民以色列。

故當謂我僕大衛曰、萬軍之耶和華云、我自羊牢中、羊羣後、取爾為我民以色列之君、

今當告我僕大闢、萬有之主耶和華云、昔爾在羊牢為牧、我特遴選爾、使為我民、以色列族長、

今爾告我僕大衛曰、萬有之主如是云、昔我自羊牢中、自羊群後、召爾立為我民以色列之君、

“ Now then, tell my servant David,‘ This is what the Lord Almighty says: I took you from the pasture, from tending the flock, and appointed you ruler over my people Israel.

“ So tell my servant David,‘ The Lord who rules over all says,“ I took you away from the grasslands. That is where you were taking care of your father’s sheep and goats. I appointed you ruler over my people Israel.

Now, therefore, thus shall you say to my servant David,‘ Thus says the Lord of hosts, I took you from the pasture, from following the sheep, to be prince over my people Israel,

“ Now go and say to my servant David,‘ This is what the Lord of Heaven’s Armies has declared: I took you from tending sheep in the pasture and selected you to be the leader of my people Israel.

“ So now this is what you are to say to my servant David:‘ This is what the LORD of Armies says: I took you from the pasture, from tending the flock, to be ruler over my people Israel.

Now, therefore, this is what you shall say to My servant David:‘ This is what the Lord of armies says:“ I took you from the pasture, from following the sheep, to be leader over My people Israel.

Now therefore thus shalt thou say unto my servant David, Thus saith Jehovah of hosts, I took thee from the sheepcote, from following the sheep, that thou shouldest be prince over my people Israel:

“ Now this is what you will say to My servant David:‘ This is what the Lord of Hosts says: I took you from the pasture and from following the sheep to be ruler over My people Israel.

Now therefore thus shalt thou say unto my servant David, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, I took thee from the sheepcote,[ even] from following the sheep, that thou shouldest be ruler over my people Israel:

“ So now, say this to my servant David:‘ This is what the LORD who commands armies says:“ I took you from the pasture and from your work as a shepherd to make you a leader of my people Israel.

“ Now therefore, you shall tell my servant David,‘ Yahweh of Armies says,“ I took you from the sheep pen, from following the sheep, to be prince over my people Israel.

So David said to Michal,“ It was before the Lord, who chose me instead of your father and all his house, to appoint me ruler over the people of the Lord, over Israel. Therefore I will play music before the Lord.

‘ But you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, Are not the least among the rulers of Judah; For out of you shall come a Ruler Who will shepherd My people Israel.’”

But David occasionally went and returned from Saul to feed his father’s sheep at Bethlehem.

He also chose David His servant, And took him from the sheepfolds;From following the ewes that had young He brought him, To shepherd Jacob His people, And Israel His inheritance.

and so also were James and John, the sons of Zebedee, who were partners with Simon. And Jesus said to Simon,“ Do not be afraid. From now on you will catch men.”

And Jesus, walking by the Sea of Galilee, saw two brothers, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea; for they were fishermen.Then He said to them,“ Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.”They immediately left their nets and followed Him.Going on from there, He saw two other brothers, James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, in the boat with Zebedee their father, mending their nets. He called them,and immediately they left the boat and their father, and followed Him.

And Samuel said to Jesse,“ Are all the young men here?” Then he said,“ There remains yet the youngest, and there he is, keeping the sheep.” And Samuel said to Jesse,“ Send and bring him. For we will not sit down till he comes here.”So he sent and brought him in. Now he was ruddy, with bright eyes, and good-looking. And the Lord said,“ Arise, anoint him; for this is the one!”

Now therefore, thus shall you say to My servant David,‘ Thus says the Lord of hosts:“ I took you from the sheepfold, from following the sheep, to be ruler over My people, over Israel.

Then Amos answered, and said to Amaziah:“ I was no prophet, Nor was I a son of a prophet, But I was a sheepbreeder And a tender of sycamore fruit.Then the Lord took me as I followed the flock, And the Lord said to me,‘ Go, prophesy to My people Israel.’

Now Moses was tending the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian. And he led the flock to the back of the desert, and came to Horeb, the mountain of God.And the Angel of the Lord appeared to him in a flame of fire from the midst of a bush. So he looked, and behold, the bush was burning with fire, but the bush was not consumed.Then Moses said,“ I will now turn aside and see this great sight, why the bush does not burn.”So when the Lord saw that he turned aside to look, God called to him from the midst of the bush and said,“ Moses, Moses!” And he said,“ Here I am.”Then He said,“ Do not draw near this place. Take your sandals off your feet, for the place where you stand is holy ground.”Moreover He said,“ I am the God of your father— the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.” And Moses hid his face, for he was afraid to look upon God.And the Lord said:“ I have surely seen the oppression of My people who are in Egypt, and have heard their cry because of their taskmasters, for I know their sorrows.So I have come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up from that land to a good and large land, to a land flowing with milk and honey, to the place of the Canaanites and the Hittites and the Amorites and the Perizzites and the Hivites and the Jebusites.Now therefore, behold, the cry of the children of Israel has come to Me, and I have also seen the oppression with which the Egyptians oppress them.Come now, therefore, and I will send you to Pharaoh that you may bring My people, the children of Israel, out of Egypt.”
