凡我同以色列人所走的地方，我何曾向以色列的一个士师，就是我吩咐牧养我民的说：你为何不给我建造香柏木的殿宇呢？’

凡我與以色列人偕行之地、豈曾語牧我民以色列之士師曰、曷不為我建香柏之室乎、

我與以色列族偕行、不論何所、特簡數人、使牧我民、曷嘗命建柏香木殿、為我居所乎。

凡我偕以色列人行時、以色列之士師、即我所命牧我民者、我何曾謂其一曰、爾何不為我造柏香木之殿乎、

Wherever I have moved with all the Israelites, did I ever say to any of their leaders whom I commanded to shepherd my people,“ Why have you not built me a house of cedar?”’

I have moved from place to place with all the Israelites. I commanded their leaders to be shepherds over my people. I never asked any of those leaders,‘ Why haven’t you built me a house that has beautiful cedar walls?’ ” ’

In all places where I have moved with all Israel, did I speak a word with any of the judges of Israel, whom I commanded to shepherd my people, saying,“ Why have you not built me a house of cedar?”’

Yet no matter where I have gone with the Israelites, I have never once complained to Israel’s leaders, the shepherds of my people. I have never asked them,“ Why haven’t you built me a beautiful cedar house?”’

In all my journeys throughout Israel, have I ever spoken a word to even one of the judges of Israel, whom I commanded to shepherd my people, asking: Why haven’t you built me a house of cedar?’

In all places where I have walked with all Israel, have I spoken a word with any of the judges of Israel, whom I commanded to shepherd My people, saying,‘ Why have you not built Me a house of cedar?’ ” ’

Wherever I have moved about with all Israel, have I ever spoken a word to any of the judges of Israel, whom I commanded to shepherd My people, saying,‘ Why have you not built Me a house of cedar?’”’

In all places wherein I have walked with all Israel, spake I a word with any of the judges of Israel, whom I commanded to be shepherd of my people, saying, Why have ye not built me a house of cedar?

In all My travels throughout Israel, have I ever spoken a word to even one of the judges of Israel, whom I commanded to shepherd My people, asking: Why haven’t you built Me a house of cedar?’

Wheresoever I have walked with all Israel, spake I a word to any of the judges of Israel, whom I commanded to feed my people, saying, Why have ye not built me an house of cedars?

Wherever I moved throughout Israel, I did not say to any of the leaders whom I appointed to care for my people Israel,‘ Why have you not built me a house made from cedar?’”’

In all places in which I have walked with all Israel, did I speak a word with any of the judges of Israel, whom I commanded to be shepherd of my people, saying,‘ Why have you not built me a house of cedar?’”’

祂要挺身而起，倚靠耶和华的能力，奉祂上帝耶和华的威名牧养祂的群羊。他们将安然居住，因为那时祂必受尊崇，直达地极。

上帝的殿与偶像怎能相提并论呢？因为我们就是永活上帝的殿，正如上帝说：“我要住在他们中间，在他们当中往来；我要做他们的上帝，他们要做我的子民。”

以色列人离开耶和华的山，走了三天的路程，期间耶和华的约柜一直在队伍的前头，为他们寻找安营之地。他们拔营前行的时候，白天总有耶和华的云彩在他们上面。每当约柜出发的时候，摩西就说：“耶和华啊，求你兴起，击溃你的敌人，使恨你的人逃窜。”约柜停下来的时候，他就说：“耶和华啊，求你回到以色列的千万人中。”

我要住在你们中间，我必不厌弃你们。我要在你们中间往来。我要做你们的上帝，你们要做我的子民。

“人子啊，你要这样向以色列的牧人发预言，‘主耶和华说，以色列的牧人啊，你们有祸了！你们只顾喂养自己，牧人岂不应该照顾羊群吗？

耶和华就派耶路·巴力、比但、耶弗他和撒母耳从周围的敌人手中救你们，使你们安然居住。

“‘犹大地区的伯利恒啊！你在犹大各城中并不是最小的，因为有一位君王要从你那里出来，牧养我的以色列子民。’”

后来，耶和华使士师兴起，从掠夺者手中拯救他们。但他们不听从士师的话，与其他神明苟合，祭拜它们，很快偏离他们祖先的道路，没有像他们的祖先那样遵行耶和华的命令。耶和华见他们因敌人的压迫和苦待而哀号，就怜悯他们，使士师陆续兴起，并与每位士师同在。士师在世之日，耶和华从仇敌手中拯救他们。

从前，即使扫罗做王的时候，率领以色列人出征打仗的仍是你。你的上帝耶和华也曾应许让你做祂以色列子民的牧者和首领。”

“你要写信告诉以弗所教会的天使，那位右手拿着七颗星、往来于七个金灯台中间的主说，

让他离开牧羊的生活，去牧养祂的子民雅各的后裔，牧养祂的产业以色列。于是，大卫以正直的心牧养他们，用灵巧的手带领他们。

因为你们的上帝耶和华常在营中巡视，要保护你们，击败你们的仇敌。军营必须保持圣洁，免得祂在你们中间看到任何污秽之事，便离开你们。

我要派首领照顾他们，使他们不再担惊受怕，也不再有一人迷失。这是耶和华说的。”

前后历时约四百五十年。之后，上帝又为他们设立士师，直到撒母耳先知的时代。

耶和华回答他说：“我必亲自与你同去，使你平安稳妥。”摩西说：“你若不与我们同去，就不要让我们离开这里。

摩西不能进会幕，因为云彩停在上面，耶和华的荣光充满了圣幕。一路上，云彩从圣幕升起，他们就出发。云彩不升起，他们就不出发，一直等到云彩升起。一路上，白天有耶和华的云彩停留在圣幕上面，夜间云中有火光为以色列百姓照明。
