As the ark of the covenant of the Lord was entering the City of David, Michal daughter of Saul watched from a window. And when she saw King David dancing and celebrating, she despised him in her heart.

The ark of the covenant of the Lord was brought into the City of David. Saul’s daughter Michal was watching from a window. She saw King David dancing and celebrating. That made her hate him in her heart.

And as the ark of the covenant of the Lord came to the city of David, Michal the daughter of Saul looked out of the window and saw King David dancing and celebrating, and she despised him in her heart.

But as the Ark of the Lord’s Covenant entered the City of David, Michal, the daughter of Saul, looked down from her window. When she saw King David skipping about and laughing with joy, she was filled with contempt for him.

As the ark of the covenant of the LORD was entering the city of David, Saul’s daughter Michal looked down from the window and saw King David leaping and dancing, and she despised him in her heart.

When the ark of the covenant of the Lord came to the city of David, Michal the daughter of Saul looked out of the window and saw King David dancing and celebrating; and she despised him in her heart.

And it happened, as the ark of the covenant of the Lord came to the City of David, that Michal, Saul’s daughter, looked through a window and saw King David whirling and playing music; and she despised him in her heart.

And it came to pass, as the ark of the covenant of Jehovah came to the city of David, that Michal the daughter of Saul looked out at the window, and saw king David dancing and playing; and she despised him in her heart.

As the ark of the LORD’s covenant entered the City of David, Michal, Saul’s daughter, looked out the window. When she saw King David jumping and celebrating, she despised him.

As the ark of Yahweh’s covenant came to David’s city, Michal the daughter of Saul looked out at the window, and saw king David dancing and playing; and she despised him in her heart.

大衛回去要為家裏的人祝福，掃羅的女兒米甲出來迎接他，說：「以色列王今日有好大的榮耀啊！他今日在臣僕的使女眼前露體，如同一個無賴赤身露體一樣。」大衛對米甲說：「這是在耶和華面前的。耶和華已揀選我，在你父和你父的全家之上，立我作耶和華百姓以色列的君王，所以我在耶和華面前跳舞，我也必更加卑微，自己看為低賤。至於你所說的那些使女，她們反而尊重我。」掃羅的女兒米甲，直到死的那日沒有孩子。

你們在國中生養眾多的時候，那些日子，人必不再提說耶和華的約櫃，不追想，不記念，不覺缺少，也不再製造。這是耶和華說的。

有金香壇和四周包金的約櫃，櫃裏有盛嗎哪的金罐、亞倫那根發過芽的杖和兩塊約版；

大衛說：「好！我與你立約。但有一件事我要求你，你來見我面的時候，除非把掃羅的女兒米甲帶來，就不必來見我的面了。」大衛派使者到掃羅的兒子伊施‧波設那裏，說：「你要把我的妻子米甲歸還我；她是我從前用一百非利士人的包皮所聘定的。」

掃羅派一些使者到大衛的房屋那裏守着他，等到天亮要殺他。大衛的妻子米甲對大衛說：「你今夜若不逃命，明日就要被殺。」於是米甲將大衛從窗戶縋下去，讓他走；大衛就逃走，躲起來了。米甲把家中的神像放在床上，頭枕在山羊毛的枕頭上，用衣服蓋起來。掃羅派一些使者去捉拿大衛，米甲說：「他病了。」掃羅又派一些使者去看大衛，說：「把他連床一起抬到我這裏，我好殺他。」使者進去，看哪，神像在床上，頭枕在山羊毛的枕頭上。掃羅對米甲說：「你為甚麼這樣欺騙我，放我仇敵逃走呢？」米甲對掃羅說：「他對我說：『你放我走吧，我何必要殺你呢？』」

掃羅已把他的女兒米甲，就是大衛的妻子，給了迦琳人拉億的兒子帕提為妻。

以色列人去求問耶和華；那時，神的約櫃在那裏。

以色列人離開耶和華的山，往前行了三天的路程。耶和華的約櫃在前面行了三天的路程，為他們尋找安歇的地方。

那時，米利暗女先知，亞倫的姊姊，手裏拿着鈴鼓；眾婦女也跟她出去打鼓跳舞。

必有感謝和歡樂的聲音從其中發出，我使他們增多，不致減少；使他們尊榮，不致卑微。

你們就對他們說：『這是因為約旦河的水在耶和華的約櫃前中斷；約櫃過約旦河的時候，約旦河的水就中斷了。這些石頭要作以色列人永遠的紀念。』」

然而，屬血氣的人不接受神的靈的事，他反倒以這為愚拙，並且他不能了解，因為這些事惟有屬靈的人才能領悟。

大衛和跟隨他的人起來前往，殺了二百非利士人，將包皮足數交給王，為要作王的女婿。於是掃羅將女兒米甲嫁給大衛。掃羅見耶和華與大衛同在，女兒米甲又愛大衛，

擊鼓跳舞讚美他！用絲弦的樂器和簫的聲音讚美他！

「把這律法書拿來，放在耶和華－你們神的約櫃旁，可以在那裏作指責你們的見證。

哭有時，笑有時；哀慟有時，跳舞有時；

因我為你的緣故受了辱罵，滿面羞愧。我的兄弟把我當陌生人，我母親的兒子把我當外邦人。因我為你的殿心裏焦急，如同火燒，並且辱罵你的人的辱罵都落在我身上。

百姓回到營裏，以色列的長老說：「耶和華今日為何使我們敗在非利士人面前呢？我們要將耶和華的約櫃從示羅抬到我們這裏來，好讓他來到我們中間，救我們脫離敵人的手掌。」

願他們跳舞讚美他的名，擊鼓彈琴歌頌他！

如果我們癲狂，是為神；如果我們清醒，是為你們。

歡喜和快樂的聲音、新郎和新娘的聲音，並聽見有人說：你們要稱謝萬軍之耶和華，因耶和華本為善，他的慈愛永遠長存！他們奉感謝祭到耶和華的殿中；因為我必使這地被擄的人歸回，如起初一樣。這是耶和華說的。」

還有人譏誚，說：「他們是灌滿了新酒吧！」

你將我的哀哭變為跳舞，脫去我的麻衣，為我披上喜樂，

大衛住在自己宮中，對拿單先知說：「看哪，我住在香柏木的宮中，耶和華的約櫃卻在幔子裏。」
