As the ark of the covenant of the Lord was entering the City of David, Michal daughter of Saul watched from a window. And when she saw King David dancing and celebrating, she despised him in her heart.

The ark of the covenant of the Lord was brought into the City of David. Saul’s daughter Michal was watching from a window. She saw King David dancing and celebrating. That made her hate him in her heart.

But as the Ark of the Lord’s Covenant entered the City of David, Michal, the daughter of Saul, looked down from her window. When she saw King David skipping about and laughing with joy, she was filled with contempt for him.

As the ark of the covenant of the LORD was entering the city of David, Saul’s daughter Michal looked down from the window and saw King David leaping and dancing, and she despised him in her heart.

When the ark of the covenant of the Lord came to the city of David, Michal the daughter of Saul looked out of the window and saw King David dancing and celebrating; and she despised him in her heart.

And it happened, as the ark of the covenant of the Lord came to the City of David, that Michal, Saul’s daughter, looked through a window and saw King David whirling and playing music; and she despised him in her heart.

And it came to pass, as the ark of the covenant of Jehovah came to the city of David, that Michal the daughter of Saul looked out at the window, and saw king David dancing and playing; and she despised him in her heart.

As the ark of the covenant of the Lord was entering the city of David, Saul’s daughter Michal looked down from the window and saw King David dancing and celebrating, and she despised him in her heart.

And it came to pass,[ as] the ark of the covenant of the LORD came to the city of David, that Michal the daughter of Saul looking out at a window saw king David dancing and playing: and she despised him in her heart.

As the ark of the LORD’s covenant entered the City of David, Michal, Saul’s daughter, looked out the window. When she saw King David jumping and celebrating, she despised him.

As the ark of Yahweh’s covenant came to David’s city, Michal the daughter of Saul looked out at the window, and saw king David dancing and playing; and she despised him in her heart.

And David returned to bless his household. But Michal the daughter of Saul came out to meet David and said,“ How the king of Israel honored himself today, uncovering himself today before the eyes of his servants’ female servants, as one of the vulgar fellows shamelessly uncovers himself!”And David said to Michal,“ It was before the Lord, who chose me above your father and above all his house, to appoint me as prince over Israel, the people of the Lord— and I will celebrate before the Lord.I will make myself yet more contemptible than this, and I will be abased in your eyes. But by the female servants of whom you have spoken, by them I shall be held in honor.”And Michal the daughter of Saul had no child to the day of her death.

As the ark of the Lord came into the city of David, Michal the daughter of Saul looked out of the window and saw King David leaping and dancing before the Lord, and she despised him in her heart.

And when you have multiplied and been fruitful in the land, in those days, declares the Lord, they shall no more say,“ The ark of the covenant of the Lord.” It shall not come to mind or be remembered or missed; it shall not be made again.

having the golden altar of incense and the ark of the covenant covered on all sides with gold, in which was a golden urn holding the manna, and Aaron’s staff that budded, and the tablets of the covenant.

And he said,“ Good; I will make a covenant with you. But one thing I require of you; that is, you shall not see my face unless you first bring Michal, Saul’s daughter, when you come to see my face.”Then David sent messengers to Ish-bosheth, Saul’s son, saying,“ Give me my wife Michal, for whom I paid the bridal price of a hundred foreskins of the Philistines.”

Saul sent messengers to David’s house to watch him, that he might kill him in the morning. But Michal, David’s wife, told him,“ If you do not escape with your life tonight, tomorrow you will be killed.”So Michal let David down through the window, and he fled away and escaped.Michal took an image and laid it on the bed and put a pillow of goats’ hair at its head and covered it with the clothes.And when Saul sent messengers to take David, she said,“ He is sick.”Then Saul sent the messengers to see David, saying,“ Bring him up to me in the bed, that I may kill him.”And when the messengers came in, behold, the image was in the bed, with the pillow of goats’ hair at its head.Saul said to Michal,“ Why have you deceived me thus and let my enemy go, so that he has escaped?” And Michal answered Saul,“ He said to me,‘ Let me go. Why should I kill you?’”

Saul had given Michal his daughter, David’s wife, to Palti the son of Laish, who was of Gallim.

And the people of Israel inquired of the Lord( for the ark of the covenant of God was there in those days,

So they set out from the mount of the Lord three days’ journey. And the ark of the covenant of the Lord went before them three days’ journey, to seek out a resting place for them.

Then Miriam the prophetess, the sister of Aaron, took a tambourine in her hand, and all the women went out after her with tambourines and dancing.

Out of them shall come songs of thanksgiving, and the voices of those who celebrate. I will multiply them, and they shall not be few; I will make them honored, and they shall not be small.

then you shall tell them that the waters of the Jordan were cut off before the ark of the covenant of the Lord. When it passed over the Jordan, the waters of the Jordan were cut off. So these stones shall be to the people of Israel a memorial forever.”

The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned.

David arose and went, along with his men, and killed two hundred of the Philistines. And David brought their foreskins, which were given in full number to the king, that he might become the king’s son-in-law. And Saul gave him his daughter Michal for a wife.But when Saul saw and knew that the Lord was with David, and that Michal, Saul’s daughter, loved him,

Praise him with tambourine and dance; praise him with strings and pipe!

“ Take this Book of the Law and put it by the side of the ark of the covenant of the Lord your God, that it may be there for a witness against you.

a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;

For it is for your sake that I have borne reproach, that dishonor has covered my face.I have become a stranger to my brothers, an alien to my mother’s sons.For zeal for your house has consumed me, and the reproaches of those who reproach you have fallen on me.

And when the people came to the camp, the elders of Israel said,“ Why has the Lord defeated us today before the Philistines? Let us bring the ark of the covenant of the Lord here from Shiloh, that it may come among us and save us from the power of our enemies.”

Let them praise his name with dancing, making melody to him with tambourine and lyre!

For if we are beside ourselves, it is for God; if we are in our right mind, it is for you.

the voice of mirth and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride, the voices of those who sing, as they bring thank offerings to the house of the Lord:“‘ Give thanks to the Lord of hosts, for the Lord is good, for his steadfast love endures forever!’ For I will restore the fortunes of the land as at first, says the Lord.

But others mocking said,“ They are filled with new wine.”

You have turned for me my mourning into dancing; you have loosed my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness,

Now when David lived in his house, David said to Nathan the prophet,“ Behold, I dwell in a house of cedar, but the ark of the covenant of the Lord is under a tent.”
