So David and the elders of Israel and the commanders of units of a thousand went to bring up the ark of the covenant of the Lord from the house of Obed-Edom, with rejoicing.

使為千夫長、五十夫長、使為之耕田畝、刈禾稼、造戰具、製車器、

摩西怒由戰而歸之軍長、千夫長、百夫長、

爾當常因主而喜樂、我復言爾曹當喜樂、

猶大人與耶路撒冷居民、皆歸耶路撒冷、約沙法率之、主使敵喪敗、喜樂不勝、鳴琴、鼓瑟、吹角、至耶路撒冷入主之殿、

我儕心事天主、以基督耶穌為誇、不恃外貌、外貌原文作肉軀下同是真受割禮者、

爾之天主、救爾於諸患難艱苦者、爾曹竟棄之、曰、求爾立一王治理我、今當至此、循爾支派宗族、立於主前、

主擊烏撒、大衛不悅、遂名其地曰毘利斯烏撒、譯即擊烏撒處之義至於今日其名猶存、是日大衛畏懼天主、曰、天主之匱、我豈可請至我所乎、於是大衛不請匱入大衛之城、至於己所、遂請至迦特人俄別以東家、天主之匱、在在文作居迦特人俄別以東家三月、主賜福於俄別以東家、及其凡所有者、

爾與子女奴婢、與居爾邑之利未人、及居於爾中之孤寡、俱可於主爾天主所選為其名所在之處、歡樂於主爾之天主前、

我遂於爾支派諸長中、選有智慧之人、眾所識者、立為官長、千夫長、百夫長、五十夫長、十夫長、治理爾諸支派、

惟爾伯利恆以法他、雖在猶大郡中郡中原文作諸千中千者即千家也為小、然將有君自爾出、為我治理以色列民、其源源原文作出自亙古自太初已有、

謂侍側之臣僕曰、便雅憫人、須聽我言、耶西子將以田畝葡萄園給爾眾乎、將立爾眾為千夫長百夫長乎、

在彼在主前食之食之或作以祭肉筵宴且與眷屬可欣喜歡樂、因所為之事、蒙主爾之天主賜福也、或作在彼在主爾之天主前爾與眷屬依主爾之天主於爾所為之事賜爾之福筵宴歡樂

爾曹皆來與我歌頌主、向我全能之救主、大聲歡呼、至於主前感謝、向主欣然唱詩、

普天下人、皆當向主歡呼、欣然奉事主、至主前歡樂歌唱、

以色列人、祭司、利未人、被擄而歸之餘民、歡然喜樂為天主殿行告成禮、

七日間當守節期在主爾天主前、於主所選之處、爾之物產、爾之操作、既蒙主爾天主賜福、則必欣喜歡樂、

惟當食於主爾天主之前、在主爾天主所選之處、爾與子女奴婢、及居於爾邑中之利未人俱可食之、爾無論所為之事、皆當宴樂於主爾天主之前、
