再上到欣嫩子谷，到达耶布斯南面的山坡，耶布斯就是耶路撒冷；又上到欣嫩子谷西边的山顶，就是在利乏音的北端；

玛利沙的居民哪！我要再使那征服你的来到你那里；以色列的荣耀，必去到亚杜兰。

收割的时候，三十个首领中有三个人下到亚杜兰洞那里去见大卫；有一队非利士人在利乏音谷安营。那时大卫在山寨中，非利士人的驻军却在伯利恒。大卫渴望说：“但愿有人把伯利恒城门旁边井里的水拿来给我喝！”那三个勇士就闯过非利士人的营地，从伯利恒城门旁边的井里打水，把水取上来，带到大卫那里。大卫不肯喝，却把水浇奠在耶和华面前。大卫说：“耶和华啊！我绝对不可作这事。这三个人冒着生命危险去打水，这水不是他们的血吗？”因此大卫不肯喝那水。这些是那三个勇士所作的事。洗鲁雅的儿子约押的兄弟亚比筛是三十勇士（按照《马索拉文本》，“三十勇士”作“三勇士”；现参照其他文本和《叙利亚译本》翻译）的首领。他曾挥舞矛枪杀死了三百人，因此他与“三勇士”齐名。他的荣誉比那“三十勇士”高（按照《马索拉文本》，“他的荣誉比那‘三十勇士’高”作“他不是在‘三勇士’中最尊贵吗﹖”；现参照《叙利亚译本》翻译），所以成为他们的领袖；不过，却不及“三勇士”。甲薛人耶何耶大的儿子比拿雅，是一个力气很大的人，作过许多大事。他曾经击杀了摩押人的两个勇将；又在下雪的时候，下到坑里去击杀了一只狮子。他还击杀了一个体格高大的埃及人。这埃及人手里有矛，比拿雅只拿着棍子下去与他对抗；结果他把埃及人手中的矛枪夺了过来，用那矛枪杀死他。这些是耶何耶大的儿子比拿雅所作的事。他与“三勇士”齐名。他的荣誉比那“三十勇士”高，不过，却不及“三勇士”。大卫立他作侍卫长。三十个勇士中有约押的兄弟亚撒黑、伯利恒人朵多的儿子伊勒哈难、哈律人沙玛、哈律人以利加、帕勒提人希利斯、提哥亚人益吉的儿子以拉、亚拿突人亚比以谢、户沙人米本乃、亚合人撒门、尼陀法人玛哈莱、尼陀法人巴拿的儿子希立、便雅悯子孙基比亚人利拜的儿子以太、比拉顿人比拿雅、迦实溪人希太、伯‧亚拉巴人亚比亚本、巴鲁米人押斯玛弗、沙本人以利雅哈巴、雅善的儿子约拿单、哈拉人沙玛、哈拉人沙拉的儿子亚希暗、玛迦人亚哈拜的儿子以利法列、基罗人亚希多弗的儿子以连、迦密人希斯莱、亚巴人帕莱、琐巴人拿单的儿子以申、迦得人巴尼、亚扪人洗勒、比录人拿哈莱（拿哈莱是给洗鲁雅的儿子约押拿兵器的）、以帖人以拉、以帖人迦立、赫人乌利亚，共有三十七人。
