掃羅犯罪、違耶和華命、不詢於耶和華、乃問於憑卜神者、故耶和華殺之、移其國祚、以畀耶西之子大闢。

這樣，掃羅死了。因為他干犯耶和華，沒有遵守耶和華的命；又因他求問交鬼的婦人，

這樣，掃羅為了他的不忠死了；因為他干犯耶和華，沒有遵守耶和華的話，又因他求問招魂的婦人，

掃羅死了，因為他對耶和華不忠，不聽從祂的教誨，甚至去求問靈媒，

掃羅死了，因為他悖逆耶和華，沒有聽從他的話，也因為他去求問那交鬼的，

這樣、掃羅死了、是為了他所犯對永恆主不忠實的罪，為了永恆主的話的緣故、就是他所沒有遵守的；也是因為他去尋問去請示交鬼的，

夫掃羅之死、因其干犯耶和華、不遵其命、且請示於憑鬼者、

如是、掃羅死、因其獲罪於主、不遵守主命、且因問交鬼之婦、而不詢主、主殺之、移其國歸耶西子大衛、

Saul died because he was unfaithful to the Lord; he did not keep the word of the Lord and even consulted a medium for guidance,

Saul died because he wasn’t faithful to the Lord. He didn’t obey the word of the Lord. He even asked for advice from a person who gets messages from people who have died.

So Saul died for his breach of faith. He broke faith with the Lord in that he did not keep the command of the Lord, and also consulted a medium, seeking guidance.

So Saul died because he was unfaithful to the Lord. He failed to obey the Lord’s command, and he even consulted a medium

Saul died for his unfaithfulness to the LORD because he did not keep the LORD’s word. He even consulted a medium for guidance,

So Saul died for his unfaithfulness which he committed against the Lord, because of the word of the Lord which he did not keep; and also because he asked counsel of a medium, making inquiry of her,

So Saul died for his trespass which he committed against Jehovah, because of the word of Jehovah, which he kept not; and also for that he asked counsel of one that had a familiar spirit, to inquire thereby,

So Saul died because he was unfaithful to the LORD and did not obey the LORD’s instructions; he even tried to conjure up underworld spirits.

So Saul died for his trespass which he committed against Yahweh, because of Yahweh’s word, which he didn’t keep; and also because he asked counsel of one who had a familiar spirit, to inquire,

橫逆與卜筮之罪無異、抗戾與拜偶之咎相同。不聽耶和華命、故耶和華使爾國祚不永。

憑於卜神、而為巫覡。有狥欲以從者、我必罰之、絕於民中。

為卜神所憑者勿崇、巫覡勿問、恐有玷於爾、為我耶和華爾之上帝所禁。

凡焚獻子女、及卜筮術數、占師巫覡、或左道、或崇憑於卜神者、或為巫覡、或用術而招魂者、俱勿留於四境之內、

撒母耳曰、爾所為者、違耶和華命、不智孰甚。昔耶和華欲立爾為以色列族王、永爾國祚、今爾不守厥命、故爾國祚不永耶和華更簡一人、合乎其意、使為民長。

掃羅命其臣僕、往求卜神所憑之婦、欲就見而問焉、僕曰、在隱多耳有婦、為卜神所憑。掃羅改其儀容、易其常服、同攜二人、夜至婦所、曰、請爾憑藉卜神、為我卜筮、我所言之死者、爾可招其至。婦曰、巫覡與卜神所憑者、掃羅滅之、爾所素知。何為設計、欲害我命、致我於死乎、掃羅指耶和華以誓、曰、如爾作此、斷不遭刑。婦曰、使我招何人之魂。曰、撒母耳。婦見撒母耳、遂大聲而呼、曰、何相欺耶、爾實掃羅。王曰、毋畏、爾所見者何。婦曰、我見士師由地而升。曰、其容若何。曰、年已老、衣長衣。掃羅知是撒母耳、則俯伏於地。撒母耳謂掃羅曰、爾何擾我、使我來格乎。曰、我甚艱辛、非利士人攻我、上帝棄我、不以先知夢寐答我、故招爾至、示我以所當行。撒母耳曰、耶和華棄爾、必降以罰、曷問我哉。昔耶和華命我之言、今將行之、奪爾國祚、畀爾同儔大闢。爾不遵耶和華命、其怒亞馬力人爾不雪其恨、故迄今日、致有此事。爾與以色列族軍旅、耶和華將付於非利士人手、明日爾及爾子必與我偕。掃羅聞撒母耳言、即仆於地、心甚悚懼、永朝永夕、飲食俱廢、故無能力。

或曰、維彼巫覡、及為神所憑者、何不問焉、其聲綿蠻、其音微細。則應之曰、人豈不當問於上帝哉、生人之事、詢於死者、亦奚以為。

後適祈禱所、遇婢為卜筮神所憑、以占卜大利其主、婢隨保羅及我儕、呼曰、此人至高上帝僕、以救道傳我、婢如此者屢矣、保羅不悅、顧謂神曰、我賴耶穌基督名、命爾離此女、神即出、○

萬有之主耶和華云、昔以色列族出自埃及、亞馬力人伏於途間、我常不忘。

有人名西門、素於邑為巫、每自誇大、使撒馬利亞民異己、眾嚮往之、由尊至卑、僉曰、此人乃上帝大能也、具嚮往之故、因久以巫術、使民異之也、

焚獻其子、用卜筮、術數、憑卜神、問巫覡、於耶和華前多行不義、干厥震怒。

巫者罪當死。
