Zechariah 第1章
A Call to Return to the Lord
1In the eighth month, 1:1 See Hag. 1:1in the second year of Darius, the word of the Lord came to the prophet 1:1 Ezra 6:14; Matt. 23:35Zechariah, the son of 1:1 1 Chr. 6:39Berechiah, son of 1:1 Neh. 12:4, 16Iddo, saying,
3Therefore say to them, Thus declares the Lord of hosts: 1:3 Isa. 31:6; Jer. 3:1, 22; Ezek. 18:30; Mal. 3:7Return to me, says the Lord of hosts, and 1:3 Jer. 12:15; Mic. 7:19I will return to you, says the Lord of hosts.
41:4 [Ps. 78:8] Do not be like your fathers, 1:4 See 2 Chr. 36:15to whom the former prophets cried out, ‘Thus says the Lord of hosts, 1:4 [See ver. 3above] Return from your evil ways and from your evil deeds.’ But 1:4 ch. 7:11; 2 Chr. 36:16; See Jer. 35:15they did not hear or pay attention to me, declares the Lord.
61:6 [Isa. 40:8; Matt. 24:35] But my words and my statutes, which I commanded 1:6 See Dan. 9:6my servants the prophets, did they not 1:6 Deut. 28:2, 15overtake your fathers? So they repented and said, 1:6 Lam. 2:17‘As the Lord of hosts purposed to deal with us for 1:6 [Ezek. 36:31]our ways and 1:6 [Ezek. 36:31]deeds, so has he dealt with us.’”
A Vision of a Horseman
7On the twenty-fourth day of the eleventh month, which is the month of Shebat, in the second year of Darius, the word of the Lord came to the prophet 1:7 [See ver. 1above] Zechariah, the son of 1:7 [See ver. 1above] Berechiah, son of 1:7 [See ver. 1above]Iddo, saying,
8“I saw in the night, and behold, 1:8 [Rev. 6:4] a man riding on a red horse! He was standing among the myrtle trees in the glen, and behind him were 1:8 [Rev. 6:4, 5, 8]; See ch. 6:2-7red, sorrel, and white horses.
9Then I said, ‘What are these, my lord?’ 1:9 [Rev. 22:6]The angel who talked with me said to me, ‘I will show you what they are.’
10So 1:10 [See ver. 8above] the man who was standing among the myrtle trees answered, 1:10 [Heb. 1:14] ‘These are they whom the Lord has sent to 1:10 ch. 6:7; [Job 1:7]patrol the earth.’
11And they answered 1:11 [See ver. 9above] the angel of the Lord who was standing among the myrtle trees, and said, 1:11 [See ver. 10above] ‘We have patrolled the earth, and behold, all the earth 1:11 [ver. 15]remains at rest.’
12Then 1:12 [See ver. 9above] the angel of the Lord said, 1:12 Ps. 80:4; 89:46; Hab. 2:6; Rev. 6:10‘O Lord of hosts, 1:12 Ps. 80:4; 89:46; Hab. 2:6; Rev. 6:10how long will you 1:12 Ps. 102:13have no mercy on Jerusalem and the cities of Judah, against which you have been angry these 1:12 ch. 7:5; Jer. 25:11; 29:10seventy years?’
13And the Lord answered 1:13 See Jer. 29:10, 11gracious and comforting words to 1:13 [See ver. 9above]the angel who talked with me.
14So 1:14 [See ver. 9above] the angel who talked with me said to me, ‘Cry out, Thus says the Lord of hosts: 1:14 ch. 8:2; Joel 2:18I am exceedingly jealous for Jerusalem and for Zion.
151:15 [Joel 3:2] And I am exceedingly angry with the nations that are 1:15 [ver. 11] at ease; 1:15 [Isa. 54:7, 8] for while I was angry but a little, 1:15 [Isa. 47:6]they furthered the disaster.
16Therefore, thus says the Lord, 1:16 ch. 8:3I have returned to Jerusalem with mercy; 1:16 [ch. 4:9; Ezra 6:14] my house shall be built in it, declares the Lord of hosts, and 1:16 Jer. 31:39; Ezek. 40:3; 47:3the measuring line shall be stretched out over Jerusalem.
A Vision of Horns and Craftsmen
19And I said to 1:19 [See ver. 9above] the angel who talked with me, “What are these?” And he said to me, 1:19 [See ver. 18above]“These are the horns that have scattered Judah, Israel, and Jerusalem.”
20Then the Lord showed me four craftsmen.
21And I said, “What are these coming to do?” He said, 1:21 [See ver. 18above] “These are the horns that scattered Judah, so that no one raised his head. And these have come 1:21 Deut. 28:26; Jer. 7:33to terrify them, to cast down the horns of the nations 1:21 [Ps. 75:4, 5]who lifted up their horns against the land of Judah to scatter it.”
