The Steadfast Love of the Lord

133:1 [Ps. 32:11] Shout for joy in the Lord, O you righteous!

33:1 Ps. 147:1Praise befits the upright.

2Give thanks to the Lord with the 33:2 Ps. 71:22lyre;

make melody to him with 33:2 Ps. 71:22the harp of 33:2 Ps. 144:9ten strings!

3Sing to him 33:3 Ps. 40:3; 96:1; Isa. 42:10a new song;

play skillfully on the strings, with loud shouts.

4For the word of the Lord is upright,

and all his work is done in 33:4 Ps. 119:75faithfulness.

5He 33:5 Ps. 11:7; 36:5, 6; 45:7; 89:14loves righteousness and justice;

33:5 Ps. 119:64the earth is full of the steadfast love of the Lord.

6By 33:6 Gen. 1:6, 7; Heb. 11:3; 2 Pet. 3:5; [John 1:3] the word of the Lord the heavens were made,

8Let all the earth fear the Lord;

let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him!

he commanded, and it stood firm.

10The Lord33:10 Isa. 19:3; Luke 1:51; [2 Sam. 15:34; 17:14; Neh. 4:15; Job 5:12; Isa. 8:10]brings the counsel of the nations to nothing;

he frustrates the plans of the peoples.

the plans of his heart to all generations.

a warrior is not delivered by his great strength.

and by its great might it cannot rescue.

19that he may 33:19 [Acts 12:11] deliver their soul from death

he is our 33:20 Ps. 115:9-11help and 33:20 See Ps. 3:3our shield.

21For our heart is 33:21 Zech. 10:7; See Ps. 9:14glad in him,

because we 33:21 See Ps. 11:1trust in his holy name.

22Let your steadfast love, O Lord, be upon us,

even as we hope in you.
