Psalm 26
Prayer for Vindication
Of David.
1Vindicate me, Lord,
because I have lived with integrity
2Test me, Lord, and try me;
3For your faithful love guides me,26:3 Lit love is in front of my eyes
4I do not sit with the worthless
or associate with hypocrites.
5I hate a crowd of evildoers,
and I do not sit with the wicked.26:4–5 Ps 1:1; Pr 4:14–15
and go around your altar, Lord,26:6 Ps 43:4
and telling about your wondrous works.26:7 Ps 9:1
8Lord, I love the house where you dwell,
the place where your glory resides.26:8 Ps 27:4
9Do not destroy me along with sinners,
or my life along with men of bloodshed26:9 Ps 28:3
10in whose hands are evil schemes
11But I live with integrity;
