Praise the name of the Lord,

give praise, O 135:1 See Ps. 113:1servants of the Lord,

2who 135:2 [See Ps. 134:1 above] stand in the house of the Lord,

in 135:2 Ps. 92:13the courts of the house of our God!

3Praise the Lord, for 135:3 See Ps. 100:5the Lord is good;

sing to his name, 135:3 Ps. 147:1; [Ps. 52:9]for it is pleasant!135:3 Or for he is beautiful

4For the Lord has 135:4 Deut. 7:6, 7; 10:15; See Ps. 105:6chosen Jacob for himself,

Israel as his 135:4 Ex. 19:5own possession.

5For I know that 135:5 Ps. 95:3the Lord is great,

and that our Lord is above all gods.

6135:6 Ps. 115:3Whatever the Lord pleases, he does,

in heaven and on earth,

in the seas and all deeps.

both of man and of beast;

against Pharaoh and all his servants;

the work of human hands.

16They have mouths, but do not speak;

they have eyes, but do not see;

17they have ears, but do not hear,

nor is there any breath in their mouths.

18Those who make them become like them;
