How Great Are Your Works

A Psalm. A Song for the Sabbath.

192:1 Ps. 147:1; [Ps. 71:22] It is good to give thanks to the Lord,

to sing praises to your name, 92:1 [Gen. 14:19, 20]O Most High;

2to declare your 92:2 See Ps. 36:5steadfast love in 92:2 [Ps. 119:147, 148]the morning,

and your 92:2 See Ps. 36:5faithfulness by 92:2 [Ps. 119:147, 148]night,

3to the music of 92:3 See Ps. 33:2the lute and 92:3 See Ps. 33:2the harp,

to the melody of 92:3 See Ps. 33:2the lyre.

4For you, O Lord, have made me glad by your 92:4 See Ps. 90:16work;

at 92:4 Ps. 8:6the works of your hands I sing for joy.

5How 92:5 Ps. 111:2; Rev. 15:3great are your works, O Lord!

Your 92:5 Ps. 40:5; 139:17thoughts are very 92:5 [Rom. 11:33]; See Ps. 36:6deep!

6The stupid man cannot know;

the fool cannot understand this:

7that though 92:7 See Job 21:7the wicked sprout like grass

and all 92:7 Ps. 94:4; 125:5evildoers flourish,

they are doomed to destruction forever;

8but you, O Lord, are 92:8 Ps. 93:4on high forever.

9For behold, your enemies, O Lord,

for behold, your enemies shall perish;

all evildoers shall be 92:9 See Ps. 68:1scattered.

10But you have exalted my 92:10 See Ps. 75:10; 1 Sam. 2:1horn like that of 92:10 Num. 23:22the wild ox;

11My 92:11 See Ps. 37:34; 54:7eyes have seen the downfall of my enemies;

my ears have heard the doom of my evil assailants.

and grow like a cedar in Lebanon.

13They are planted in the house of the Lord;

they flourish in 92:13 Ps. 100:4; 116:19; 135:2the courts of our God.

14They still bear fruit in old age;

they are ever full of sap and green,
