Psalm 112
The Traits of the Righteous
1Hallelujah!112:1 The lines of this poem form an acrostic.
Happy is the person who fears the Lord,
2His descendants will be powerful in the land;
the generation of the upright will be blessed.112:2 Ps 102:28
and his righteousness endures forever.112:3 Ps 111:3
5Good will come to the one who lends generously
The righteous one will be remembered forever.112:6 Pr 10:7
7He will not fear bad news;
9He distributes freely to the poor;
his righteousness endures forever.112:9 2Co 9:9
10The wicked one will see it and be angry;
