Matthew 第19章
Teaching About Divorce
1Now when Jesus had finished these sayings, he went away from 19:1 ch. 17:24Galilee and 19:1 For ver. 1-9, see Mark 10:1-12entered 19:1 Luke 9:51; 17:11; John 10:40; [ch. 4:25]the region of Judea beyond the Jordan.
3And Pharisees came up to him and 19:3 John 8:6tested him by asking, 19:3 ch. 5:31“Is it lawful to divorce one’s wife for any cause?”
4He answered, 19:4 Gen. 1:27; 2:18, 21-23; 5:2; [ch. 21:16]“Have you not read that he who created them from the beginning made them male and female,
5and said, 19:5 Eph. 5:31; Cited from Gen. 2:24‘Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and 19:5 1 Cor. 6:16; [Mal. 2:15]the two shall become one flesh’?
6So they are no longer two but one flesh. 19:6 1 Cor. 7:10What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate.”
7They said to him, 19:7 Deut. 24:1-4“Why then did Moses command one to give a certificate of divorce and to send her away?”
8He said to them, “Because of your 19:8 Mark 16:14; [Mark 3:5; 6:52; Heb. 3:8]hardness of heart Moses allowed you to divorce your wives, but from the beginning it was not so.
919:9 See ch. 5:32And I say to you: whoever divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, and marries another, commits adultery.”19:9 Some manuscripts add and whoever marries a divorced woman commits adultery; other manuscripts except for sexual immorality, makes her commit adultery, and whoever marries a divorced woman commits adultery
10The disciples said to him, “If such is the case of a man with his wife, it is better not to marry.”
11But he said to them, 19:11 1 Cor. 7:2, 7-9, 17“Not everyone can receive this saying, but only 19:11 [ch. 20:23] those to 19:11 ch. 13:11whom it is given.
12For there are eunuchs who have been so from birth, and there are eunuchs who have been made eunuchs by men, and there are eunuchs who have made themselves eunuchs 19:12 [1 Cor. 7:32]for the sake of the kingdom of heaven. Let the one who is able to receive this receive it.”
Let the Children Come to Me
1319:13 For ver. 13-15, see Mark 10:13-16; Luke 18:15-17Then children were brought to him that he might lay his hands on them and pray. The disciples 19:13 Mark 10:48rebuked the people,
14but Jesus said, 19:14 ch. 18:3“Let the little children 19:14 [Mark 9:39]come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.”
15And he laid his hands on them and went away.
The Rich Young Man
1619:16 For ver. 16-29, see Mark 10:17-30; Luke 18:18-30; [Luke 10:25-28] And behold, a man came up to him, saying, “Teacher, what good deed must I do to 19:16 [ver. 29] have 19:16 ch. 25:46; [ch. 18:8]eternal life?”
17And he said to him, “Why do you ask me about what is good? There is only one who is good. 19:17 Lev. 18:5; Neh. 9:29; Ezek. 20:11, 13, 21; Rom. 10:5; Gal. 3:12If you would enter life, keep the commandments.”
18He said to him, “Which ones?” And Jesus said, 19:18 Rom. 13:9; Cited from Ex. 20:12-16; Deut. 5:16-20; [ch. 5:21, 27]“You shall not murder, You shall not commit adultery, You shall not steal, You shall not bear false witness,
19Honor your father and mother, and, 19:19 ch. 5:43; 22:39; Mark 12:31; Luke 10:27; Gal. 5:14; James 2:8; Cited from Lev. 19:18You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
21Jesus said to him, “If you would be 19:21 See ch. 5:48perfect, go, 19:21 Luke 12:33; [Luke 16:9; 19:8; Acts 2:45; 4:34, 35; 1 Tim. 6:18, 19] sell what you possess and give to the poor, and you will have 19:21 ch. 6:19, 20treasure in heaven; and come, follow me.”
2219:22 [Ezek. 33:31]When the young man heard this he went away sorrowful, for he had great possessions.
23And Jesus said to his disciples, “Truly, I say to you, 19:23 [1 Cor. 1:26]; See ch. 13:22only with difficulty will a rich person enter the kingdom of heaven.
2419:24 [Mark 10:24] Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter 19:24 See ch. 12:28the kingdom of God.”
25When the disciples heard this, they were greatly astonished, saying, “Who then can be saved?”
26But Jesus 19:26 Mark 10:21; Luke 22:61looked at them and said, 19:26 Gen. 18:14; Job 42:2; Jer. 32:17, 27; Zech. 8:6; Mark 14:36; Luke 1:37“With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
27Then Peter said in reply, “See, 19:27 ch. 4:20, 22; Mark 1:18, 20we have left everything and followed you. What then will we have?”
28Jesus said to them, “Truly, I say to you, in the new world,19:28 Greek in the regeneration19:28 See ch. 16:27when the Son of Man will sit on his glorious throne, you who have followed me 19:28 Luke 22:30; Rev. 3:21will also sit on twelve thrones, 19:28 [1 Cor. 6:2]judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
2919:29 [Luke 14:26] And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or lands, for my name’s sake, will receive a hundredfold19:29 Some manuscripts manifoldand will 19:29 [ver. 16]; See ch. 25:34inherit eternal life.
30But 19:30 ch. 20:16; Mark 10:31; Luke 13:30many who are 19:30 [ch. 21:31, 32]first will be last, and the last first.
