Ezekiel 第38章
Prophecy Against Gog
1The word of the Lord came to me:
238:2 See ch. 2:1“Son of man, 38:2 See ch. 6:2set your face toward 38:2 ch. 39:1, 11; Rev. 20:8Gog, of the land of 38:2 ch. 39:6; Gen. 10:2; Rev. 20:8Magog, the 38:2 ch. 39:1chief prince of 38:2 See ch. 27:13Meshech38:2 Or Magog, the prince of Rosh, Meshech and 38:2 See ch. 27:13Tubal, and 38:2 [ver. 4, 9]prophesy against him
3and say, Thus says the Lord God: Behold, 38:3 See ch. 13:8I am against you, O Gog, chief prince of Meshech38:3 Or Gog, prince of Rosh, Meshech and Tubal.
438:4 ch. 39:2And I will turn you about and 38:4 See ch. 29:4put hooks into your jaws, and I will bring you out, and 38:4 [ver. 15]all your army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed in full armor, a great host, all of them with buckler and shield, wielding swords.
738:7 [Isa. 8:9, 10]“Be ready and keep ready, you and all your hosts that are assembled about you, and be a guard for them.
838:8 Isa. 24:22After many days you will be mustered. 38:8 [ver. 16] In the latter years you will go against 38:8 [ver. 16] the land that is restored from war, the land whose people 38:8 See ch. 11:17were gathered from many peoples upon 38:8 See ch. 6:2the mountains of Israel, which had been a continual waste. Its people were brought out from the peoples and 38:8 ch. 34:25, 27, 28now dwell securely, all of them.
10“Thus says the Lord God: On that day, 38:10 See ch. 11:5thoughts will come into your mind, and you will devise an evil scheme
11and say, ‘I will go up against 38:11 [Zech. 2:4, 5] the land of unwalled villages. I will fall upon 38:11 [Jer. 49:31]the quiet people who dwell securely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having no bars or gates,’
12to seize spoil and carry off plunder, to turn your hand against 38:12 [ver. 8] the waste places that are now inhabited, and 38:12 [ver. 8] the people who were gathered from the nations, who have acquired livestock and goods, 38:12 [ch. 5:5, 7, 14, 15]who dwell at the center of the earth.
1338:13 ch. 27:22Sheba and 38:13 ch. 25:13; 27:15Dedan and the merchants of Tarshish and all 38:13 [ch. 32:2; Ps. 17:12]its leaders38:13 Hebrew young lions will say to you, ‘Have you come to seize spoil? Have you assembled your hosts to carry off plunder, to carry away silver and gold, to take away livestock and goods, to seize great spoil?’
14“Therefore, 38:14 See ch. 2:1son of man, prophesy, and say to 38:14 ver. 2, 3Gog, Thus says the Lord God: On that day when my people Israel are 38:14 [See ver. 8above] dwelling securely, 38:14 [ver. 11]will you not know it?
15You will come from your place out of 38:15 ver. 6; ch. 39:2the uttermost parts of the north, you and 38:15 [ver. 6, 9, 22] many peoples with you, 38:15 ch. 23:6all of them riding on horses, a great host, a mighty army.
16You will come up against my people Israel, 38:16 [See ver. 9above] like a cloud covering the land. 38:16 [ver. 8] In the latter days I will bring you against my land, that the nations may know me, when through you, O Gog, 38:16 ver. 23; [ch. 39:13]; See ch. 20:41I vindicate my holiness before their eyes.
17“Thus says the Lord God: Are you 38:17 [Jer. 6:22, 23]he of whom I spoke in former days by my servants the prophets of Israel, who in those days prophesied for years that I would bring you against them?
18But on that day, the day that Gog shall come against the land of Israel, declares the Lord God, 38:18 [Ps. 18:8]my wrath will be roused in my anger.
19For 38:19 See ch. 5:13in my jealousy and in my blazing wrath I declare, On that day 38:19 [Hag. 2:6, 7; Rev. 16:18]there shall be a great earthquake in the land of Israel.
2038:20 [Hos. 4:3] The fish of the sea and the birds of the heavens and the beasts of the field and all creeping things that creep on the ground, and all the people who are on the face of the earth, 38:20 [Ps. 114:7] shall quake at my presence. And 38:20 Jer. 4:24the mountains shall be thrown down, and the cliffs shall fall, and every wall shall tumble to the ground.
2138:21 Jer. 25:29I will summon a sword against Gog38:21 Hebrew against him on all my mountains, declares the Lord God. 38:21 [Judg. 7:22]Every man’s sword will be against his brother.
