Ephesians 第5章
Walk in Love
3But 5:3 1 Cor. 6:18; See Gal. 5:19sexual immorality and all impurity or covetousness 5:3 [ver. 12; Ps. 16:4]must not even be named among you, as is proper among saints.
4Let there be 5:4 ch. 4:29; [Eccles. 10:13] no filthiness nor foolish talk nor crude joking, 5:4 [Rom. 1:28] which are out of place, but instead 5:4 ver. 20let there be thanksgiving.
5For you may be sure of this, that 5:5 See 1 Cor. 6:9everyone who is sexually immoral or impure, or who is covetous (5:5 Col. 3:5that is, an idolater), has no inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God.
65:6 See Matt. 24:4Let no one 5:6 Col. 2:8deceive you with empty words, for because of these things 5:6 Rom. 1:18; Col. 3:6the wrath of God comes upon 5:6 ch. 2:2; [1 Pet. 1:14]the sons of disobedience.
8for 5:8 See ch. 2:1, 2at one time you were 5:8 See Acts 26:18darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. 5:8 Isa. 2:5; See Luke 16:8; John 12:35, 36Walk as children of light
9(for 5:9 [Gal. 5:22]; See Rom. 7:4the fruit of light is found in all that is good and right and true),
10and 5:10 1 Thess. 2:4; 5:21try to discern what is pleasing to the Lord.
115:11 See 1 Cor. 5:9Take no part in the 5:11 Rom. 6:21unfruitful 5:11 Rom. 13:12works of darkness, but instead 5:11 Lev. 19:17; 1 Tim. 5:20expose them.
14for anything that becomes visible is light. Therefore it says,
5:14 [Isa. 51:17; 52:1; 60:1; Mal. 4:2]; See Rom. 13:11“Awake, O sleeper,
and 5:14 Isa. 26:19arise from the dead,
155:15 Col. 4:5; [Prov. 15:21]Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise,
165:16 [See ver. 15above] making the best use of the time, because 5:16 ch. 6:13; Eccles. 12:1; Amos 5:13; Gal. 1:4the days are evil.
17Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what 5:17 Rom. 12:2; 1 Thess. 4:3; 5:18the will of the Lord is.
18And 5:18 Prov. 20:1; 23:20, 31; 1 Cor. 5:11do not get drunk with wine, for that is 5:18 Titus 1:6; 1 Pet. 4:4debauchery, but 5:18 [Luke 1:15]be filled with the Spirit,
19addressing one another in 5:19 Acts 16:25; 1 Cor. 14:26; Col. 3:16; James 5:13psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody to the Lord with your heart,
205:20 Col. 3:17; 1 Thess. 1:2; 2 Thess. 1:3giving thanks always and for everything to God the Father 5:20 Heb. 13:15; [John 14:13]in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,
Wives and Husbands
225:22 For ch. 5:22–6:9, see Col. 3:18–4:1Wives, 5:22 See Gen. 3:16submit to your own husbands, 5:22 [ch. 6:5]as to the Lord.
23For 5:23 1 Cor. 11:3the husband is the head of the wife even as 5:23 See ch. 1:22, 23Christ is the head of the church, his body, and is 5:23 [1 Cor. 6:13]himself its Savior.
255:25 ver. 28, 33; [1 Pet. 3:7] Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and 5:25 ver. 2gave himself up for her,
26that he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by 5:26 Titus 3:5; [Rev. 7:14] the washing of water 5:26 ch. 6:17; Heb. 6:5; See John 15:3with the word,
27so 5:27 2 Cor. 11:2; See ch. 1:4that he might present the church to himself in splendor, 5:27 Song 4:7without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, that she might be holy and without blemish.5:27 Or holy and blameless
28In the same way 5:28 ver. 25, 33husbands should love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself.
29For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ does the church,
30because 5:30 [Gen. 2:23]; See 1 Cor. 6:15we are members of his body.
315:31 Matt. 19:5; Mark 10:7, 8; Cited from Gen. 2:24“Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife, and 5:31 1 Cor. 6:16the two shall become one flesh.”
32This mystery is profound, and I am saying that it refers to Christ and the church.
33However, 5:33 ver. 25, 28let each one of you love his wife as himself, and let the wife see that she 5:33 1 Pet. 3:2, 6respects her husband.
