Ephesians 5:31 - Scripture says, “That’s why a man will leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife. The two will become one.” ( Genesis 2:24 )
Ephesians 5:32 - That is a deep mystery. But I’m talking about Christ and the church.
Revelation 1:4 - I, John, am writing this letter. I am sending it to the seven churches in Asia Minor. May grace and peace come to you from God. He is the one who is, and who was, and who will come. May grace and peace come to you from the seven spirits. These spirits are in front of God’s throne.
Revelation 1:9 - I, John, am a believer like you. I am a friend who suffers like you. As members of Jesus’ royal family, we can put up with anything that happens to us. I was on the island of Patmos because I taught God’s word and what Jesus said.
Psalm 45:9 - Daughters of kings are among the women you honor. At your right hand is the royal bride dressed in gold from Ophir.
Psalm 45:10 - Royal bride, listen and pay careful attention. Forget about your people and the home you came from.
Psalm 45:11 - Let the king be charmed by your beauty. Honor him. He is now your master.
Psalm 45:12 - The people of Tyre will come with gifts. Wealthy people will try to gain your favor.
Psalm 45:13 - In her room, the princess looks glorious. Her gown has gold threads running through it.
Psalm 45:14 - Dressed in beautiful clothes, she is led to the king. Her virgin companions follow her. They have been brought to be with her.
Revelation 22:19 - Suppose someone takes away any words from this book of prophecy. Then God will take away from that person the blessings told about in this book. God will take away their share in the tree of life. God will also take away their place in the Holy City.
John 3:29 - The bride belongs to the groom. The friend who helps the groom waits and listens for him. He is full of joy when he hears the groom’s voice. That joy is mine, and it is now complete.
Ephesians 5:25 - Husbands, love your wives. Love them just as Christ loved the church. He gave himself up for her.
Ephesians 5:26 - He did it to make her holy. He made her clean by washing her with water and the word.
Ephesians 5:27 - He did it to bring her to himself as a brightly shining church. He wants a church that has no stain or wrinkle or any other flaw. He wants a church that is holy and without blame.
2 Corinthians 11:2 - My jealousy for you comes from God himself. I promised to give you to only one husband. That husband is Christ. I wanted to be able to give you to him as if you were a pure virgin.
Hebrews 13:14 - Here we do not have a city that lasts. But we are looking for the city that is going to come.
Hebrews 12:22 - But you have come to Mount Zion. You have come to the city of the living God. This is the heavenly Jerusalem. You have come to a joyful gathering of angels. There are thousands and thousands of them.
Revelation 19:7 - Let us be joyful and glad! Let us give him glory! It is time for the Lamb’s wedding. His bride has made herself ready.
Revelation 19:8 - Fine linen, bright and clean, was given to her to wear.” Fine linen stands for the right things that God’s holy people do.
Isaiah 61:10 - The people of Jerusalem will say, “We take great delight in the Lord. We are joyful because we belong to our God. He has dressed us with salvation as if it were our clothes. He has put robes of godliness on us. We are like a groom who is dressed up for his wedding. We are like a bride who decorates herself with her jewels.
Revelation 21:10 - Then he carried me away in a vision. The Spirit took me to a huge, high mountain. He showed me Jerusalem, the Holy City. It was coming down out of heaven from God.
Revelation 3:12 - Here is what I will do for anyone who has victory over sin. I will make that person a pillar in the temple of my God. They will never leave it again. I will write the name of my God on them. I will write the name of the city of my God on them. This is the new Jerusalem, which is coming down out of heaven from my God. I will also write my new name on them.
Hebrews 11:10 - Abraham was looking forward to the city that has foundations. He was waiting for the city that God planned and built.
