Leviticus 22:22 - Animals that are blind or fractured or mutilated, or have a sore or a running wound or an itch or scabs, you shall not offer to the Lord nor make an offering of them by fire on the altar to the Lord.
Leviticus 22:23 - For a freewill offering you may offer either a bull or a lamb which has an overgrown or stunted member (deformity), but for [the payment of] a vow it will not be accepted.
Leviticus 23:1 - The Lord spoke again to Moses, saying,
Leviticus 23:2 - “Speak to the children of Israel and say to them, ‘The appointed times (established feasts) of the Lord which you shall proclaim as holy convocations—My appointed times are these:
Leviticus 23:3 - ‘For six days work may be done, but the seventh day is the Sabbath of complete rest, a holy convocation (calling together). You shall not do any work [on that day]; it is the Sabbath of the Lord wherever you may be.
Leviticus 23:4 - ‘These are the appointed times of the Lord, holy convocations which you shall proclaim at their appointed times:
Leviticus 23:5 - The Lord’s Passover is on the fourteenth day of the first month at twilight.
Leviticus 23:6 - The Feast of Unleavened Bread to the Lord is on the fifteenth day of the same month; for seven days you shall eat unleavened bread.
Leviticus 23:7 - On the first day you shall have a holy convocation (calling together); you shall not do any laborious work [on that day].
Leviticus 23:8 - But you shall present an offering by fire to the Lord for seven days; on the seventh day there shall be a holy convocation; you shall not do any laborious work [on that day].’ ”
Leviticus 23:9 - Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,
Leviticus 23:10 - “Speak to the children of Israel and say to them, ‘When you enter the land which I am giving you and reap its harvest, you shall bring the sheaf of the first fruits of your harvest to the priest.
Leviticus 23:11 - He shall wave the sheaf before the Lord so that you may be accepted; the priest shall wave it on the day after the Sabbath.
Leviticus 23:12 - Now on the day when you wave the sheaf you shall offer a male lamb one year old without blemish as a burnt offering to the Lord.
Leviticus 23:13 - Its grain offering shall be two-tenths of an ephah of fine flour mixed with [olive] oil, an offering by fire to the Lord for a sweet and soothing aroma, with its drink offering [to be poured out], a fourth of a hin of wine.
Leviticus 23:14 - You shall not eat any bread or roasted grain or new growth, until this same day when you bring in the offering to your God; it is a permanent statute throughout your generations wherever you may be.
Leviticus 23:15 - ‘You shall count from the day after the Sabbath, from the day when you brought in the sheaf (tied bundle of grain) of the wave offering; there shall be seven complete Sabbaths (seven full weeks).
Leviticus 23:16 - You shall count fifty days to the day after the seventh Sabbath; then you shall present a new grain offering to the Lord.
Leviticus 23:17 - You shall bring in from your places two loaves of bread as a wave offering, made from two-tenths of an ephah of fine flour; they shall be baked with leaven as first fruits to the Lord.
Leviticus 23:18 - And you shall offer with the bread seven unblemished lambs, one year old, and one young bull and two rams. They are to be a burnt offering to the Lord, with their grain offering and their drink offerings. It is an offering by fire, a sweet and soothing aroma to the Lord.
Leviticus 23:19 - And you shall sacrifice one male goat as a sin offering and two male lambs, one year old as a sacrifice of peace offerings.
Leviticus 23:20 - The priest shall wave them before the Lord as a wave offering, together with the bread of the first fruits and the two lambs. They are to be holy to the Lord for the priest.
Leviticus 23:21 - On this same day you shall make a proclamation, you are to have a holy convocation (calling together); you shall not do any laborious work [on that day]. It is to be a permanent statute throughout your generations wherever you may be.
Leviticus 23:22 - ‘When you reap the harvest of your land, you shall not reap to the edges of your field, nor gather the gleaning of your harvest; you are to leave them for the poor and for the stranger. I am the Lord your God.’ ”
Leviticus 23:23 - Again the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,
Leviticus 23:24 - “Say to the children of Israel, ‘On the first day of the seventh month (almost October), you shall observe a day of solemn sabbatical rest, a memorial day announced by the blowing of trumpets, a holy convocation.
Leviticus 23:25 - You shall not do any laborious work [on that day], but you shall present an offering by fire to the Lord.’ ”
Leviticus 23:26 - The Lord spoke to Moses, saying,
Leviticus 23:27 - “Also the tenth day of this seventh month is the Day of Atonement; it shall be a holy convocation for you, and you shall humble yourselves [by fasting] and present an offering by fire to the Lord.
Leviticus 23:28 - You shall not do any work on this same day, for it is the Day of Atonement, to make atonement on your behalf before the Lord your God.
Leviticus 23:29 - If there is any person who will not humble himself on this same day, he shall be cut off from his people [excluding him from the atonement made for them].
Leviticus 23:30 - If there is any person who does any work on this same day, I will destroy that person from among his people.
Leviticus 23:31 - You shall do no work at all [on that day]. It is a permanent statute throughout your generations wherever you may be.
Leviticus 23:32 - It is to be to you a Sabbath of complete rest, and you shall humble yourselves. On the ninth day of the month at evening, from evening to evening you shall keep your Sabbath.”
Leviticus 23:33 - Again the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,
Leviticus 23:34 - “Say to the children of Israel, ‘On the fifteenth day of this seventh month, and for seven days, is the Feast of Booths (Tabernacles) to the Lord.
Leviticus 23:35 - The first day is a holy convocation (calling together); you shall not do any laborious work [on that day].
Leviticus 23:36 - For seven days you shall present an offering by fire to the Lord. On the eighth day you shall have a holy convocation and present an offering by fire to the Lord. It is a festive assembly; you shall not do any laborious work [on that day].
Leviticus 23:37 - ‘These are the appointed times (established feasts) of the Lord, which you shall proclaim to be holy convocations, to present an offering by fire to the Lord, a burnt offering and a grain offering, sacrifices and drink offerings, each on its own day.
Leviticus 23:38 - This is in addition to the [weekly] Sabbaths of the Lord, and in addition to your gifts and all your vowed offerings and all your freewill offerings, which you give to the Lord.
Leviticus 23:39 - ‘On exactly the fifteenth day of the seventh month (nearly October), when you have gathered in the crops of the land, you shall celebrate the feast of the Lord for seven days, with a Sabbath rest on the first day and a Sabbath rest on the eighth day.
Leviticus 23:40 - Now on the first day you shall take for yourselves the foliage of beautiful trees, branches of palm trees, and boughs of thick (leafy) trees, and willows of the brook [and make booths of them]; and you shall rejoice before the Lord your God for seven days.
Leviticus 23:41 - You shall celebrate it as a feast to the Lord for seven days in the year. It shall be a permanent statute throughout your generations; you shall celebrate it in the seventh month.
Leviticus 23:42 - You shall live in booths (temporary shelters) for seven days; all native-born in Israel shall live in booths,
Leviticus 23:43 - so that your generations may know that I had the sons of Israel live in booths when I brought them out of the land of Egypt. I am the Lord your God.’ ”
Leviticus 23:44 - So Moses declared to the Israelites the appointed feasts of the Lord.
Leviticus 10:13 - You shall eat it in a holy place, because it is your portion and your sons’ portion, from the offerings by fire to the Lord; for so I have been commanded.
Numbers 29:13 - You shall present a burnt offering, an offering by fire as a sweet and soothing aroma to the Lord: thirteen bulls, two rams, and fourteen male lambs one year old, which are without blemish;
Numbers 29:14 - and their grain offering, fine flour mixed with oil, three-tenths [of an ephah] for each of the thirteen bulls, two-tenths for each of the two rams,
Numbers 29:15 - and a tenth [of an ephah] for each of the fourteen lambs;
Numbers 29:16 - also one male goat as a sin offering, in addition to the continual burnt offering, its grain offering and its drink offering.
Numbers 29:17 - ‘Then on the second day [of the Feast of Booths]: twelve bulls, two rams, fourteen male lambs one year old without blemish,
Numbers 29:18 - with their grain offering and their drink offerings for the bulls, the rams, and the lambs, by their number according to the ordinance,
Numbers 29:19 - also one male goat as a sin offering, in addition to the continual burnt offering, its grain offering, and their drink offerings.
Numbers 29:20 - ‘Then on the third day [of the Feast of Booths]: eleven bulls, two rams, fourteen male lambs one year old without blemish,
Numbers 29:21 - with their grain offering and drink offerings for the bulls, the rams, and the lambs, by their number according to the ordinance,
Numbers 29:22 - and one male goat as a sin offering, in addition to the continual burnt offering, its grain offering, and its drink offering.
Numbers 29:23 - ‘Then on the fourth day [of the Feast of Booths]: ten bulls, two rams, and fourteen male lambs one year old without blemish;
Numbers 29:24 - their grain offering and their drink offerings for the bulls, the rams, and the lambs, by their number according to the ordinance,
Numbers 29:25 - and one male goat as a sin offering, besides the continual burnt offering, its grain offering, and its drink offering.
Numbers 29:26 - ‘Then on the fifth day [of the Feast of Booths]: nine bulls, two rams, and fourteen male lambs one year old without blemish,
Numbers 29:27 - and their grain offering and drink offerings for the bulls, the rams, and the lambs, by their number according to the ordinance;
Numbers 29:28 - and one male goat as a sin offering, in addition to the continual burnt offering, and its grain offering, and its drink offering.
Numbers 29:29 - ‘Then on the sixth day [of the Feast of Booths]: eight bulls, two rams, and fourteen male lambs one year old without blemish;
Numbers 29:30 - and their grain offering and their drink offerings for the bulls, the rams, and the lambs, by their number according to the ordinance,
Numbers 29:31 - and one male goat as a sin offering, in addition to the continual burnt offering, its grain offering, and its drink offerings.
Numbers 29:32 - ‘Then on the seventh day [of the Feast of Booths]: seven bulls, two rams, and fourteen male lambs one year old without blemish,
Numbers 29:33 - and their grain offering and drink offerings for the bulls, the rams, and the lambs, by their number according to the ordinance;
Numbers 29:34 - and one male goat as a sin offering, in addition to the continual burnt offering, and its grain offering, and its drink offering.
Numbers 29:35 - ‘On the eighth day you shall have a solemn assembly [to mark the end of the feast]; you shall do no laborious work.
Numbers 29:36 - You shall present a burnt offering, an offering by fire, as a sweet and soothing aroma to the Lord: one bull, one ram, seven male lambs one year old without blemish;
Numbers 29:37 - their grain offering and drink offerings for the bull, the ram, and the lambs, by their number according to the ordinance,
Numbers 29:38 - and one male goat as a sin offering, in addition to the continual burnt offering, and its grain offering, and its drink offering.
Numbers 29:39 - ‘You shall present these to the Lord at your appointed times, in addition the offerings you have vowed and your freewill offerings, as your burnt offerings, grain offerings, drink offerings, and as your peace offerings.’ ”
Numbers 29:40 - So Moses spoke to the Israelites in accordance with everything that the Lord had commanded him.
Numbers 28:16 - ‘The Lord’s Passover shall be on the fourteenth day of the first month [of each year].
Numbers 28:17 - There shall be a feast on the fifteenth day of this month; unleavened bread shall be eaten for seven days.
Numbers 28:18 - On the first day there shall be a holy [summoned] assembly; you shall do no laborious work that day.
Numbers 28:19 - But you shall present an offering by fire, a burnt offering to the Lord: two bulls, one ram, and seven male lambs one year old, without blemish.
Exodus 29:41 - And the other lamb you shall offer at twilight, and do with it as with the grain offering of the morning and with the drink offering, for a sweet and soothing aroma [to appease God], an offering by fire to the Lord.
Deuteronomy 12:17 - You are forbidden to eat within your [city] gates the tithe of your grain or new wine or oil, or the firstborn of your herd or flock, or any of your votive offerings, or your freewill offerings, or the contribution of your hand.
Leviticus 1:1 - The Lord called to Moses and spoke to him from the Tent of Meeting, saying,
Leviticus 1:2 - “Speak to the children of Israel and say to them, ‘When any one of you brings an offering to the Lord, you shall bring your offering of [domestic] animals from the herd (cattle, oxen) or from the flock (sheep, goats).
Leviticus 1:3 - If his offering is a burnt offering from the herd, he shall offer a male without blemish; he shall offer it at the doorway of the Tent of Meeting so that he may be accepted before the Lord.
Leviticus 1:4 - He shall lay his hand on the head of the burnt offering [transferring symbolically his guilt to the sacrifice], that it may be accepted for him to make atonement on his behalf.
Leviticus 1:5 - He shall kill the young bull before the Lord; and Aaron’s sons the priests shall present the blood and sprinkle the blood around on the altar that is at the doorway of the Tent of Meeting.
Leviticus 1:6 - Then he shall skin the burnt offering and cut it into pieces.
Leviticus 1:7 - The sons of Aaron the [high] priest shall put fire on the altar [of burnt offering] and arrange wood on the fire.
Leviticus 1:8 - Then Aaron’s sons the priests shall arrange the pieces, the head and the fat, on the wood which is on the fire that is on the altar.
Leviticus 1:9 - But he shall wash its entrails and its legs with water. The priest shall offer all of it up in smoke on the altar as a burnt offering. It is an offering by fire, a sweet and soothing aroma to the Lord.
Leviticus 1:10 - ‘But if his offering is from the flock, of the sheep or of the goats, as a burnt offering, he shall offer a male without blemish.
Leviticus 1:11 - He shall kill it on the north side of the altar before the Lord, and Aaron’s sons the priests shall sprinkle its blood around on the altar.
Leviticus 1:12 - He shall cut it into pieces, with its head and its fat, and the priest shall arrange them on the wood which is on the fire that is on the altar.
Leviticus 1:13 - But he shall wash the entrails and legs with water. The priest shall offer all of it, and offer it up in smoke on the altar. It is a burnt offering, an offering by fire, a sweet and soothing aroma to the Lord.
Leviticus 1:14 - ‘But if his offering to the Lord is a burnt offering of birds, then he shall bring turtledoves or young pigeons as his offering.
Leviticus 1:15 - The priest shall bring it to the altar, and wring off its head, and offer it up in smoke on the altar; and its blood is to be drained out on the side of the altar.
Leviticus 1:16 - He shall remove its crop with its feathers and throw it next to the east side of the altar, in the place for ashes.
Leviticus 1:17 - Then he shall tear it open by its wings, but shall not sever it. And the priest shall offer it up in smoke on the altar, on the wood that is on the fire. It is a burnt offering, an offering by fire, a sweet and soothing aroma to the Lord.
Matthew 3:17 - and behold, a voice from heaven said, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well-pleased and delighted!”
Leviticus 27:2 - “Speak to the children of Israel and say to them, ‘When a man makes a special vow [consecrating himself or a member of his family], he shall be valued according to your [established system of] valuation of people belonging to the Lord [that is, the priest accepts from the man making the vow a specified amount of money for the temple treasury in place of the actual person].
Philippians 4:18 - But I have received everything in full and more; I am amply supplied, having received from Epaphroditus the gifts you sent me. They are the fragrant aroma of an offering, an acceptable sacrifice which God welcomes and in which He delights.
Numbers 28:27 - You shall present the burnt offering as a sweet and soothing aroma to the Lord: two young bulls, one ram, seven male lambs one year old;
Genesis 8:21 - The Lord smelled the pleasing aroma [a soothing, satisfying scent] and the Lord said to Himself, “I will never again curse the ground because of man, for the intent (strong inclination, desire) of man’s heart is wicked from his youth; and I will never again destroy every living thing, as I have done.
Exodus 29:18 - and you shall burn the whole ram on the altar. It is a burnt offering to the Lord: it is a sweet and soothing aroma, an offering by fire to the Lord.
