  • 1 Kings 21:20 - “So, my enemy, you have found me!” Ahab exclaimed to Elijah. “Yes,” Elijah answered, “I have come because you have sold yourself to what is evil in the Lord’s sight.
  • Daniel 4:27 - “‘King Nebuchadnezzar, please accept my advice. Stop sinning and do what is right. Break from your wicked past and be merciful to the poor. Perhaps then you will continue to prosper.’
  • Exodus 11:3 - (Now the Lord had caused the Egyptians to look favorably on the people of Israel. And Moses was considered a very great man in the land of Egypt, respected by Pharaoh’s officials and the Egyptian people alike.)

  • 2 Chronicles 24:19 - Yet the Lord sent prophets to bring them back to him. The prophets warned them, but still the people would not listen.
  • 2 Chronicles 24:20 - Then the Spirit of God came upon Zechariah son of Jehoiada the priest. He stood before the people and said, “This is what God says: Why do you disobey the Lord’s commands and keep yourselves from prospering? You have abandoned the Lord, and now he has abandoned you!”
  • 2 Chronicles 24:21 - Then the leaders plotted to kill Zechariah, and King Joash ordered that they stone him to death in the courtyard of the Lord’s Temple.
  • 2 Chronicles 24:22 - That was how King Joash repaid Jehoiada for his loyalty—by killing his son. Zechariah’s last words as he died were, “May the Lord see what they are doing and avenge my death!”
  • Psalms 106:12 - Then his people believed his promises. Then they sang his praise.
  • Psalms 106:13 - Yet how quickly they forgot what he had done! They wouldn’t wait for his counsel!
  • Ezekiel 2:5 - And whether they listen or refuse to listen—for remember, they are rebels—at least they will know they have had a prophet among them.
  • Ezekiel 2:6 - “Son of man, do not fear them or their words. Don’t be afraid even though their threats surround you like nettles and briers and stinging scorpions. Do not be dismayed by their dark scowls, even though they are rebels.
  • Ezekiel 2:7 - You must give them my messages whether they listen or not. But they won’t listen, for they are completely rebellious!

  • 2 Kings 3:12 - Jehoshaphat said, “Yes, the Lord speaks through him.” So the king of Israel, King Jehoshaphat of Judah, and the king of Edom went to consult with Elisha.
  • 2 Kings 3:13 - “Why are you coming to me?” Elisha asked the king of Israel. “Go to the pagan prophets of your father and mother!” But King Joram of Israel said, “No! For it was the Lord who called us three kings here—only to be defeated by the king of Moab!”
  • 2 Kings 13:14 - When Elisha was in his last illness, King Jehoash of Israel visited him and wept over him. “My father! My father! I see the chariots and charioteers of Israel!” he cried.
  • Mark 11:18 - When the leading priests and teachers of religious law heard what Jesus had done, they began planning how to kill him. But they were afraid of him because the people were so amazed at his teaching.
  • 2 Chronicles 24:2 - Joash did what was pleasing in the Lord’s sight throughout the lifetime of Jehoiada the priest.
  • 2 Kings 6:21 - When the king of Israel saw them, he shouted to Elisha, “My father, should I kill them? Should I kill them?”
