- Obadiah 1:10 - You did harmful things to the people of Jacob. They are your relatives. So you will be covered with shame. You will be destroyed forever.
- 1 Corinthians 6:10 - Neither will thieves or those who always want more and more. Neither will those who are often drunk or tell lies or cheat. People who live like that will not receive God’s kingdom.
- Obadiah 1:12 - That was a time of trouble for your relatives. So you shouldn’t have been happy about what happened to them. The people of Judah were destroyed. So you should not have been happy about it. You should not have laughed at them so much when they were in trouble.
- Hebrews 12:25 - Be sure that you don’t say no to the one who speaks. People did not escape when they said no to the one who warned them on earth. And what if we turn away from the one who warns us from heaven? How much less will we escape!

It would be better to enter the kingdom of heaven with only one foot than go into hell with two feet. In hell the fire burns forever.
- Matthew 18:9 - If your eye causes you to sin, poke it out and throw it away. It would be better to enter the kingdom of heaven with one eye than to have two eyes and be thrown into the fire of hell.

- 1 Peter 2:23 - People shouted at him and made fun of him. But he didn’t do the same thing back to them. When he suffered, he didn’t say he would make them suffer. Instead, he trusted in the God who judges fairly.
- Ephesians 4:31 - Get rid of all hard feelings, anger and rage. Stop all fighting and lying. Don’t have anything to do with any kind of hatred.
- Ephesians 4:32 - Be kind and tender to one another. Forgive one another, just as God forgave you because of what Christ has done.
- James 3:6 - The tongue is also a fire. The tongue is the most evil part of the body. It makes the whole body impure. It sets a person’s whole way of life on fire. And the tongue itself is set on fire by hell.
- Ephesians 4:26 - Scripture says, “When you are angry, do not sin.” ( Psalm 4:4 ) Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry.
- Ephesians 4:27 - Don’t give the devil a chance.
- 1 John 3:14 - We know that we have left our old dead way of life. And we have entered into new life. We know this because we love one another. Anyone who doesn’t love still lives in their old condition.
- 1 John 3:15 - Anyone who hates their brother or sister is a murderer. And you know that no murderer has eternal life.
- 1 John 4:20 - Suppose someone claims to love God but hates a brother or sister. Then they are a liar. They don’t love their brother or sister, whom they have seen. So they can’t love God, whom they haven’t seen.
- 1 John 4:21 - Here is the command God has given us. Anyone who loves God must also love their brother and sister.
