約書亞記 3:15 - 約旦河水在收割的日子常漫過兩岸。祭司抬著約櫃來到約旦河，他們的腳一沾到水邊，
約書亞記 3:16 - 水就站住了—那從上游流下來的水在很遠的地方立起成為堤壩，在撒利坦旁邊的亞當城那裡站住了。那往下流入亞拉巴海（就是鹽海）的水完全被截斷。於是人民就在耶利哥的對面過了河。
