  • Jeremiah 34:20 - all these I will hand over to their enemies, to those who intend to take their life. Their corpses will become food for the birds of the sky and for the wild animals of the land.
  • Jeremiah 34:21 - I will hand King Zedekiah of Judah and his officials over to their enemies, to those who intend to take their lives, to the king of Babylon’s army that is withdrawing.
  • Jeremiah 34:22 - I am about to give the command — this is the Lord’s declaration — and I will bring them back to this city. They will fight against it, capture it, and burn it. I will make Judah’s cities a desolation, without inhabitant.”
  • Jeremiah 39:5 - However, the Chaldean army pursued them and overtook Zedekiah in the plains of Jericho. They arrested him and brought him up to Nebuchadnezzar, Babylon’s king, at Riblah in the land of Hamath. The king passed sentence on him there.
  • Jeremiah 39:6 - At Riblah the king of Babylon slaughtered Zedekiah’s sons before his eyes, and he also slaughtered all Judah’s nobles.
  • Jeremiah 39:7 - Then he blinded Zedekiah and put him in bronze chains to take him to Babylon.
  • Ezekiel 12:13 - But I will spread my net over him, and he will be caught in my snare. I will bring him to Babylon, the land of the Chaldeans, yet he will not see it, and he will die there.
  • 2 Kings 25:27 - On the twenty-seventh day of the twelfth month of the thirty-seventh year of the exile of Judah’s King Jehoiachin, in the year Evil-merodach became king of Babylon, he pardoned King Jehoiachin of Judah and released him from prison.
  • 2 Kings 25:28 - He spoke kindly to him and set his throne over the thrones of the kings who were with him in Babylon.
  • 2 Kings 25:29 - So Jehoiachin changed his prison clothes, and he dined regularly in the presence of the king of Babylon for the rest of his life.

  • Ezekiel 21:25 - And you, profane and wicked prince of Israel, the day has come for your punishment.

  • Jeremiah 34:2 - “This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: Go, speak to King Zedekiah of Judah, and tell him, ‘This is what the Lord says: I am about to hand this city over to the king of Babylon, and he will burn it.
  • Jeremiah 34:3 - As for you, you will not escape from him but are certain to be captured and handed over to him. You will meet the king of Babylon eye to eye and speak face to face; you will go to Babylon.
  • Jeremiah 38:23 - All your wives and children will be brought out to the Chaldeans. You yourself will not escape from them, for you will be seized by the king of Babylon and this city will burn.’”
  • Jeremiah 37:8 - The Chaldeans will then return and fight against this city. They will capture it and burn it.
  • Jeremiah 39:3 - All the officials of the king of Babylon entered and sat at the Middle Gate: Nergal-sharezer, Samgar, Nebusarsechim the chief of staff, Nergal-sharezer the chief soothsayer, and all the rest of the officials of Babylon’s king.
  • 2 Kings 24:12 - King Jehoiachin of Judah, along with his mother, his servants, his commanders, and his officials, surrendered to the king of Babylon. So the king of Babylon took him captive in the eighth year of his reign.
  • Ezekiel 17:20 - I will spread my net over him, and he will be caught in my snare. I will bring him to Babylon and execute judgment on him there for the treachery he committed against me.

  • Jeremiah 32:3 - King Zedekiah of Judah had imprisoned him, saying, “Why are you prophesying as you do? You say, ‘This is what the Lord says: Look, I am about to hand this city over to Babylon’s king, and he will capture it.
  • Jeremiah 32:4 - King Zedekiah of Judah will not escape from the Chaldeans; indeed, he will certainly be handed over to Babylon’s king. They will speak face to face and meet eye to eye.
  • Jeremiah 32:5 - He will take Zedekiah to Babylon, where he will stay until I attend to him — this is the Lord’s declaration. For you will fight the Chaldeans, but you will not succeed.’”
  • Jeremiah 24:8 - “But as for the bad figs, so bad they are inedible, this is what the Lord says: In this way I will deal with King Zedekiah of Judah, his officials, and the remnant of Jerusalem — those remaining in this land or living in the land of Egypt.
  • Jeremiah 24:9 - I will make them an object of horror and a disaster to all the kingdoms of the earth, an example for disgrace, scorn, ridicule, and cursing, wherever I have banished them.
  • Jeremiah 24:10 - I will send the sword, famine, and plague against them until they have perished from the land I gave to them and their ancestors.”
  • 2 Kings 25:4 - Then the city was broken into, and all the warriors fled at night by way of the city gate between the two walls near the king’s garden, even though the Chaldeans surrounded the city. As the king made his way along the route to the Arabah,
  • 2 Kings 25:5 - the Chaldean army pursued him and overtook him in the plains of Jericho. Zedekiah’s entire army left him and scattered.
  • 2 Kings 25:6 - The Chaldeans seized the king and brought him up to the king of Babylon at Riblah, and they passed sentence on him.
  • 2 Kings 25:7 - They slaughtered Zedekiah’s sons before his eyes. Finally, the king of Babylon blinded Zedekiah, bound him in bronze chains, and took him to Babylon.
  • 2 Kings 25:8 - On the seventh day of the fifth month — which was the nineteenth year of King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon — Nebuzaradan, the captain of the guards, a servant of the king of Babylon, entered Jerusalem.
  • 2 Kings 25:9 - He burned the Lord’s temple, the king’s palace, and all the houses of Jerusalem; he burned down all the great houses.
  • 2 Kings 25:10 - The whole Chaldean army with the captain of the guards tore down the walls surrounding Jerusalem.
  • Jeremiah 38:3 - This is what the Lord says: ‘This city will most certainly be handed over to the king of Babylon’s army, and he will capture it.’”
