  • 2 Kings 10:11 - Then Jehu killed all who were left of Ahab’s relatives living in Jezreel and all his important officials, his personal friends, and his priests. So Ahab was left without a single survivor.
  • Jeremiah 23:19 - Look! The Lord’s anger bursts out like a storm, a whirlwind that swirls down on the heads of the wicked.
  • Nahum 1:14 - And this is what the Lord says concerning the Assyrians in Nineveh: “You will have no more children to carry on your name. I will destroy all the idols in the temples of your gods. I am preparing a grave for you because you are despicable!”

  • Isaiah 11:4 - He will give justice to the poor and make fair decisions for the exploited. The earth will shake at the force of his word, and one breath from his mouth will destroy the wicked.
  • 1 Kings 21:21 - So now the Lord says, ‘I will bring disaster on you and consume you. I will destroy every one of your male descendants, slave and free alike, anywhere in Israel!
  • 1 Kings 21:22 - I am going to destroy your family as I did the family of Jeroboam son of Nebat and the family of Baasha son of Ahijah, for you have made me very angry and have led Israel into sin.’
  • Haggai 1:9 - You hoped for rich harvests, but they were poor. And when you brought your harvest home, I blew it away. Why? Because my house lies in ruins, says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, while all of you are busy building your own fine houses.
  • Jeremiah 22:30 - This is what the Lord says: ‘Let the record show that this man Jehoiachin was childless. He is a failure, for none of his children will succeed him on the throne of David to rule over Judah.’
  • Job 15:30 - “They will not escape the darkness. The burning sun will wither their shoots, and the breath of God will destroy them.
  • Job 15:31 - Let them no longer fool themselves by trusting in empty riches, for emptiness will be their only reward.
  • Job 15:32 - They will be cut down in the prime of life; their branches will never again be green.
  • Job 15:33 - They will be like a vine whose grapes are harvested too early, like an olive tree that loses its blossoms before the fruit can form.
  • Zechariah 9:14 - The Lord will appear above his people; his arrows will fly like lightning! The Sovereign Lord will sound the ram’s horn and attack like a whirlwind from the southern desert.
  • Hosea 13:3 - Therefore, they will disappear like the morning mist, like dew in the morning sun, like chaff blown by the wind, like smoke from a chimney.
  • Isaiah 17:11 - They may sprout on the day you set them out; yes, they may blossom on the very morning you plant them, but you will never pick any grapes from them. Your only harvest will be a load of grief and unrelieved pain.
  • Isaiah 17:13 - But though they thunder like breakers on a beach, God will silence them, and they will run away. They will flee like chaff scattered by the wind, like a tumbleweed whirling before a storm.
  • Isaiah 41:16 - You will toss them into the air, and the wind will blow them all away; a whirlwind will scatter them. Then you will rejoice in the Lord. You will glory in the Holy One of Israel.
