Das Silber für den König von Assyrien trieb Menahem durch eine Sondersteuer ein. Jeder reiche Israelit musste 50 Silberstücke zahlen.
- Jeremia 22:22 - Deine Führer werden weggeführt, weggefegt wie von einem Sturm, und deine Verbündeten werden gefangen genommen und verschleppt. Dann wirst du gedemütigt und musst dich schämen wegen all deiner Bosheit!
