Zechariah 7:5 - “Ask all the people of the land and the priests: When you fasted and lamented in the fifth and in the seventh months for these seventy years, did you really fast for me?
Zechariah 7:6 - When you eat and drink, don’t you eat and drink simply for yourselves?
Leviticus 26:1 - “Do not make worthless idols for yourselves, set up a carved image or sacred pillar for yourselves, or place a sculpted stone in your land to bow down to it, for I am the Lord your God.
1 Kings 14:23 - They also built for themselves high places, sacred pillars, and Asherah poles on every high hill and under every green tree;
Ezekiel 15:1 - Then the word of the Lord came to me:
Ezekiel 15:2 - “Son of man, how does the wood of the vine, that branch among the trees of the forest, compare to any other wood?
Ezekiel 15:3 - Can wood be taken from it to make something useful? Or can anyone make a peg from it to hang things on?
Ezekiel 15:4 - In fact, it is put into the fire as fuel. The fire devours both of its ends, and the middle is charred. Can it be useful for anything?
Ezekiel 15:5 - Even when it was whole it could not be made into a useful object. How much less can it ever be made into anything useful when the fire has devoured it and it is charred!”
Jeremiah 2:28 - But where are your gods you made for yourself? Let them rise up and save you in your time of disaster if they can, for your gods are as numerous as your cities, Judah.

Isaiah 5:1 - I will sing about the one I love, a song about my loved one’s vineyard: The one I love had a vineyard on a very fertile hill.
Isaiah 5:2 - He broke up the soil, cleared it of stones, and planted it with the finest vines. He built a tower in the middle of it and even dug out a winepress there. He expected it to yield good grapes, but it yielded worthless grapes.
Isaiah 5:3 - So now, residents of Jerusalem and men of Judah, please judge between me and my vineyard.
Isaiah 5:4 - What more could I have done for my vineyard than I did? Why, when I expected a yield of good grapes, did it yield worthless grapes?
Isaiah 5:5 - Now I will tell you what I am about to do to my vineyard: I will remove its hedge, and it will be consumed; I will tear down its wall, and it will be trampled.
Isaiah 5:6 - I will make it a wasteland. It will not be pruned or weeded; thorns and briers will grow up. I will also give orders to the clouds that rain should not fall on it.
Isaiah 5:7 - For the vineyard of the Lord of Armies is the house of Israel, and the men of Judah, the plant he delighted in. He expected justice but saw injustice; he expected righteousness but heard cries of despair.
Hosea 8:11 - When Ephraim multiplied his altars for sin, they became his altars for sinning.
