He suffered there because of the joy he was looking forward to. Then he sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Psalm 68:18 - When he went up to his place on high, he took many prisoners. He received gifts from people, even from those who refused to obey him. The Lord God went up to live on Mount Zion.
Hebrews 6:20 - That is where Jesus has gone. He went there to open the way ahead of us. He has become a high priest forever, just like Melchizedek.
Romans 8:33 - Who can bring any charge against God’s chosen ones? God makes us right with himself.
John 6:62 - Then what if you see the Son of Man go up to where he was before?
1 Peter 3:22 - He has gone into heaven. He is at God’s right hand. Angels, authorities and powers are under his control.
Exodus 28:12 - Connect them to the shoulder straps of the linen apron. The stones will stand for the sons of Israel. Aaron must carry the names on his shoulders as a constant reminder while he is serving the Lord.
Acts 1:9 - After Jesus said this, he was taken up to heaven. The apostles watched until a cloud hid him from their sight.
Acts 1:10 - While he was going up, they kept on looking at the sky. Suddenly two men dressed in white clothing stood beside them.
Acts 1:11 - “Men of Galilee,” they said, “why do you stand here looking at the sky? Jesus has been taken away from you into heaven. But he will come back in the same way you saw him go.”
Hebrews 9:9 - That’s an example for the present time. It shows us that the gifts and sacrifices people offered were not enough. They were not able to remove the worshiper’s feelings of guilt.
Hebrews 8:5 - They serve at a sacred tent. But it is only a copy and shadow of what is in heaven. That’s why God warned Moses when he was about to build the holy tent. God said, “Be sure to make everything just like the pattern I showed you on the mountain.” ( Exodus 25:40 )
Mark 16:19 - When the Lord Jesus finished speaking to them, he was taken up into heaven. He sat down at the right hand of God.
Hebrews 1:3 - The Son is the shining brightness of God’s glory. He is the exact likeness of God’s being. He uses his powerful word to hold all things together. He provided the way for people to be made pure from sin. Then he sat down at the right hand of the King, the Majesty in heaven.
Ephesians 1:20 - God showed. He showed this when he raised Christ from the dead. God seated him at his right hand in his heavenly kingdom.
Ephesians 1:21 - There Christ sits far above all who rule and have authority. He also sits far above all powers and kings. He is above every name that is appealed to in this world and in the world to come.
Ephesians 1:22 - God placed all things under Christ’s rule. He appointed him to be ruler over everything for the church.
Luke 24:51 - While he was blessing them, he left them. He was taken up into heaven.
Ephesians 4:8 - That is why Scripture says, “When he went up to his place on high, he took many prisoners. He gave gifts to his people.” ( Psalm 68:18 )
Ephesians 4:9 - What does “he went up” mean? It can only mean that he also came down to the lower, earthly places.
Ephesians 4:10 - The one who came down is the same one who went up. He went up higher than all the heavens. He did it in order to fill all creation.
Ephesians 4:11 - So Christ himself gave the gift of the apostles to the church. He gave the prophets and those who preach the good news. And he also gave the pastors and teachers as a gift to the church.
John 16:28 - I came from the Father and entered the world. Now I am leaving the world and going back to the Father.”
Exodus 28:29 - “When Aaron enters the Holy Room, he will carry the names of the sons of Israel over his heart. Their names will be on the chest cloth of decision. They will be a continuing reminder while he is serving the Lord.
Colossians 3:2 - Think about things that are in heaven. Don’t think about things that are only on earth.
Acts 3:21 - Heaven must receive him until the time when God makes everything new. He promised this long ago through his holy prophets.
Hebrews 8:2 - He serves in the sacred tent. The Lord set up the true holy tent. A mere human being did not set it up.
Hebrews 9:23 - So the copies of the heavenly things had to be made pure with these sacrifices. But the heavenly things themselves had to be made pure with better sacrifices.
Hebrews 9:11 - But Christ came to be the high priest of the good things already here now. When he came, he went through the greater and more perfect holy tent. This tent was not made with human hands. In other words, it is not a part of this creation.
Hebrews 9:12 - He did not enter by spilling the blood of goats and calves. He entered the Most Holy Room by spilling his own blood. He did it once and for all time. In this way, he paid the price to set us free from sin forever.
Hebrews 12:2 - Let us keep looking to Jesus. He is the one who started this journey of faith. And he is the one who completes the journey of faith. He paid no attention to the shame of the cross. He suffered there because of the joy he was looking forward to. Then he sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
