  • Nehemiah 12:24 - The leaders of the Levites were Hashabiah, Sherebiah and Jeshua. Jeshua was the son of Kadmiel. Those who helped them stood across from them to sing praises and give thanks. One group would sing back to the other. That’s what David, the man of God, had ordered.
  • 1 Kings 17:24 - Then the woman said to Elijah, “Now I know that you are a man of God. I know that the message you have brought from the Lord is true.”
  • 1 Kings 20:28 - The man of God came up to the king of Israel again. He told him, “The Lord says, ‘The men of Aram think the Lord is a god of the hills. They do not think he is a god of the valleys. So I, the Lord, will hand their huge army over to you. Then you will know that I am the Lord.’ ”
  • Deuteronomy 16:20 - Do only what is right. Then you will live. You will take over the land the Lord your God is giving you.
  • Romans 14:19 - So let us do all we can to live in peace. And let us work hard to build up one another.
  • 1 Kings 17:18 - The woman said to Elijah, “You are a man of God. What do you have against me? Did you come to bring my sin out into the open? Did you come to kill my son?”
  • 2 Chronicles 8:14 - Solomon followed the orders his father David had given him. He appointed the groups of priests for their duties. He appointed the Levites to lead the people in praising the Lord. They also helped the priests do their required tasks each day. Solomon appointed the groups of men who guarded all the gates. That’s what David, the man of God, had ordered.
  • 2 Kings 23:17 - The king asked, “What’s that stone on the grave over there?” The people of the city said, “It marks the tomb where the man of God is buried. He came from Judah. He spoke against the altar at Bethel. He announced the very things you have done to it.”
  • 1 Samuel 2:27 - A man of God came to Eli. He told him, “The Lord says, ‘I made myself clearly known to your relatives who lived long ago. I did it when they were in Egypt under Pharaoh’s rule.
  • 1 Timothy 6:20 - Timothy, guard what God has trusted you with. Turn away from godless chatter. Stay away from opposing ideas that are falsely called knowledge.
  • 2 Kings 5:20 - Gehazi was the servant of Elisha, the man of God. Gehazi said to himself, “My master was too easy on Naaman from Aram. He should have accepted the gift Naaman brought. I’m going to run after him. I’m going to get something from him. And that’s just as sure as the Lord is alive.”
  • 1 Kings 13:26 - The prophet who had brought the man back from his journey heard about what had happened. He said, “It’s the man of God. He didn’t do what the Lord told him to do. So the Lord has given him over to the lion. The lion has attacked him and killed him. Everything has happened just as the Lord’s message had warned him it would.”
  • Deuteronomy 33:1 - Here is the blessing that Moses, the man of God, gave to the Israelites before he died.
  • 2 Kings 1:9 - Then Ahaziah sent a captain to Elijah. The captain had his group of 50 fighting men with him. Elijah was sitting on top of a hill. The captain went up to him. He said to Elijah, “Man of God, the king says, ‘Come down!’ ”
  • 1 Kings 13:1 - A man of God went from Judah to Bethel. He had received a message from the Lord. He arrived in Bethel just as Jeroboam was standing by the altar to offer a sacrifice.
  • 1 Chronicles 23:14 - The sons of Moses, the man of God, were counted as part of the tribe of Levi.
  • Psalm 38:20 - They pay me back with evil, even though I was good to them. They bring charges against me, though I try only to do what is good.
  • 1 Samuel 9:6 - But the servant replied, “There’s a man of God here in Ramah. People have a lot of respect for him. Everything he says comes true. So let’s go and see him now. Perhaps he’ll tell us which way to go.”
  • 1 Corinthians 14:1 - Follow the way of love. You should also want the gifts the Holy Spirit gives. Most of all, you should want the gift of prophecy.
  • Jeremiah 35:4 - I brought them into the Lord’s house. I took them into the room of the sons of Hanan. He was the son of Igdaliah. He was also a man of God. His room was next to the room of the officials. Their room was above the room of Maaseiah. He was the son of Shallum. He also was one of those who guarded the temple doors.
  • 2 Kings 1:13 - So the king sent a third captain with his 50 men. The captain went up to Elijah. He fell on his knees in front of him. “Man of God,” he begged, “please have respect for my life! Please have respect for the lives of these 50 men!
  • Titus 2:11 - God’s grace has now appeared. By his grace, God offers to save all people.
  • Titus 2:12 - His grace teaches us to say no to godless ways and sinful desires. We must control ourselves. We must do what is right. We must lead godly lives in today’s world.
  • 1 Corinthians 6:18 - Keep far away from sexual sins. All the other sins a person commits are outside the body. But sexual sins are sins against their own body.
  • Isaiah 51:1 - The Lord says, “Listen to me, you who want to do what is right. Pay attention, you who look to me. Consider the rock you were cut out of. Think about the rock pit you were dug from.
  • Galatians 5:22 - But the fruit the Holy Spirit produces is love, joy and peace. It is being patient, kind and good. It is being faithful
  • Galatians 5:23 - and gentle and having control of oneself. There is no law against things of that kind.
  • Psalm 34:14 - Turn away from evil, and do good. Look for peace, and go after it.
  • 1 Timothy 5:10 - She must be well known for the good things she does. That includes bringing up children. It includes inviting guests into her home. It includes washing the feet of the Lord’s people. It includes helping those who are in trouble. A widow should spend her time doing all kinds of good things.
  • 1 Corinthians 10:14 - My dear friends, run away from statues of gods. Don’t worship them.
  • 1 Peter 3:11 - They must turn away from evil and do good. They must look for peace and go after it.
  • Hebrews 12:14 - Try your best to live in peace with everyone. Try hard to be holy. Without holiness no one will see the Lord.
  • Philippians 4:8 - Finally, my brothers and sisters, always think about what is true. Think about what is noble, right and pure. Think about what is lovely and worthy of respect. If anything is excellent or worthy of praise, think about those kinds of things.
  • Philippians 4:9 - Do what you have learned or received or heard from me. Follow my example. The God who gives peace will be with you.
  • 1 Timothy 4:12 - Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young. Set an example for the believers in what you say and in how you live. Also set an example in how you love and in what you believe. Show the believers how to be pure.
  • 2 Peter 1:5 - So you should try very hard to add goodness to your faith. To goodness, add knowledge.
  • 2 Peter 1:6 - To knowledge, add the ability to control yourselves. To the ability to control yourselves, add the strength to keep going. To the strength to keep going, add godliness.
  • 2 Peter 1:7 - To godliness, add kindness for one another. And to kindness for one another, add love.
  • 2 Timothy 3:17 - By using Scripture, the servant of God can be completely prepared to do every good thing.
  • 2 Timothy 2:22 - Run away from the evil things that young people long for. Try hard to do what is right. Have faith, love and peace. Do these things together with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart.
