  • Genesis 47:9 - Jacob replied, “I have traveled this earth for 130 hard years. But my life has been short compared to the lives of my ancestors.”
  • 1 Timothy 6:9 - But people who long to be rich fall into temptation and are trapped by many foolish and harmful desires that plunge them into ruin and destruction.

  • James 4:1 - What is causing the quarrels and fights among you? Don’t they come from the evil desires at war within you?
  • Hebrews 11:13 - All these people died still believing what God had promised them. They did not receive what was promised, but they saw it all from a distance and welcomed it. They agreed that they were foreigners and nomads here on earth.
