  • Exodus 40:21 - Then he brought the Ark of the Covenant into the Tabernacle and hung the inner curtain to shield it from view, just as the Lord had commanded him.
  • Exodus 40:22 - Next Moses placed the table in the Tabernacle, along the north side of the Holy Place, just outside the inner curtain.
  • Exodus 40:23 - And he arranged the Bread of the Presence on the table before the Lord, just as the Lord had commanded him.
  • Exodus 40:24 - He set the lampstand in the Tabernacle across from the table on the south side of the Holy Place.
  • Exodus 40:25 - Then he lit the lamps in the Lord’s presence, just as the Lord had commanded him.
  • Exodus 40:26 - He also placed the gold incense altar in the Tabernacle, in the Holy Place in front of the inner curtain.
  • Exodus 40:27 - On it he burned the fragrant incense, just as the Lord had commanded him.
  • Exodus 40:28 - He hung the curtain at the entrance of the Tabernacle,
  • Exodus 40:29 - and he placed the altar of burnt offering near the Tabernacle entrance. On it he offered a burnt offering and a grain offering, just as the Lord had commanded him.
  • Exodus 40:30 - Next Moses placed the washbasin between the Tabernacle and the altar. He filled it with water so the priests could wash themselves.
  • Exodus 40:31 - Moses and Aaron and Aaron’s sons used water from it to wash their hands and feet.
  • Exodus 40:32 - Whenever they approached the altar and entered the Tabernacle, they washed themselves, just as the Lord had commanded Moses.
  • Exodus 40:33 - Then he hung the curtains forming the courtyard around the Tabernacle and the altar. And he set up the curtain at the entrance of the courtyard. So at last Moses finished the work.
  • Exodus 40:34 - Then the cloud covered the Tabernacle, and the glory of the Lord filled the Tabernacle.
  • Exodus 40:35 - Moses could no longer enter the Tabernacle because the cloud had settled down over it, and the glory of the Lord filled the Tabernacle.
  • Exodus 40:36 - Now whenever the cloud lifted from the Tabernacle, the people of Israel would set out on their journey, following it.
  • Exodus 40:37 - But if the cloud did not rise, they remained where they were until it lifted.
  • Exodus 40:38 - The cloud of the Lord hovered over the Tabernacle during the day, and at night fire glowed inside the cloud so the whole family of Israel could see it. This continued throughout all their journeys.
  • 1 Kings 3:4 - The most important of these places of worship was at Gibeon, so the king went there and sacrificed 1,000 burnt offerings.
  • 1 Kings 3:5 - That night the Lord appeared to Solomon in a dream, and God said, “What do you want? Ask, and I will give it to you!”
  • 1 Kings 3:6 - Solomon replied, “You showed great and faithful love to your servant my father, David, because he was honest and true and faithful to you. And you have continued to show this great and faithful love to him today by giving him a son to sit on his throne.
  • 1 Kings 3:7 - “Now, O Lord my God, you have made me king instead of my father, David, but I am like a little child who doesn’t know his way around.
  • 1 Kings 3:8 - And here I am in the midst of your own chosen people, a nation so great and numerous they cannot be counted!
  • 1 Kings 3:9 - Give me an understanding heart so that I can govern your people well and know the difference between right and wrong. For who by himself is able to govern this great people of yours?”
  • 1 Kings 3:10 - The Lord was pleased that Solomon had asked for wisdom.
  • 1 Kings 3:11 - So God replied, “Because you have asked for wisdom in governing my people with justice and have not asked for a long life or wealth or the death of your enemies—
  • 1 Kings 3:12 - I will give you what you asked for! I will give you a wise and understanding heart such as no one else has had or ever will have!
  • 1 Kings 3:13 - And I will also give you what you did not ask for—riches and fame! No other king in all the world will be compared to you for the rest of your life!
  • 1 Kings 3:14 - And if you follow me and obey my decrees and my commands as your father, David, did, I will give you a long life.”
  • 1 Kings 3:15 - Then Solomon woke up and realized it had been a dream. He returned to Jerusalem and stood before the Ark of the Lord’s Covenant, where he sacrificed burnt offerings and peace offerings. Then he invited all his officials to a great banquet.
  • 2 Chronicles 1:3 - Then he led the entire assembly to the place of worship in Gibeon, for God’s Tabernacle was located there. (This was the Tabernacle that Moses, the Lord’s servant, had made in the wilderness.)
  • 1 Chronicles 16:39 - Meanwhile, David stationed Zadok the priest and his fellow priests at the Tabernacle of the Lord at the place of worship in Gibeon, where they continued to minister before the Lord.
