Hosea 14:8 - “O Israel, stay away from idols! I am the one who answers your prayers and cares for you. I am like a tree that is always green; all your fruit comes from me.”
Jeremiah 12:4 - How long must this land mourn? Even the grass in the fields has withered. The wild animals and birds have disappeared because of the evil in the land. For the people have said, “The Lord doesn’t see what’s ahead for us!”
Ezekiel 14:13 - “Son of man, suppose the people of a country were to sin against me, and I lifted my fist to crush them, cutting off their food supply and sending a famine to destroy both people and animals.
Ezekiel 14:14 - Even if Noah, Daniel, and Job were there, their righteousness would save no one but themselves, says the Sovereign Lord.
Ezekiel 14:15 - “Or suppose I were to send wild animals to invade the country, kill the people, and make the land too desolate and dangerous to pass through.
Ezekiel 14:16 - As surely as I live, says the Sovereign Lord, even if those three men were there, they wouldn’t be able to save their own sons or daughters. They alone would be saved, but the land would be made desolate.
Ezekiel 14:17 - “Or suppose I were to bring war against the land, and I sent enemy armies to destroy both people and animals.
Ezekiel 14:18 - As surely as I live, says the Sovereign Lord, even if those three men were there, they wouldn’t be able to save their own sons or daughters. They alone would be saved.
Ezekiel 14:19 - “Or suppose I were to pour out my fury by sending an epidemic into the land, and the disease killed people and animals alike.
Ezekiel 14:20 - As surely as I live, says the Sovereign Lord, even if Noah, Daniel, and Job were there, they wouldn’t be able to save their own sons or daughters. They alone would be saved by their righteousness.
Ezekiel 14:21 - “Now this is what the Sovereign Lord says: How terrible it will be when all four of these dreadful punishments fall upon Jerusalem—war, famine, wild animals, and disease—destroying all her people and animals.
Revelation 2:14 - “But I have a few complaints against you. You tolerate some among you whose teaching is like that of Balaam, who showed Balak how to trip up the people of Israel. He taught them to sin by eating food offered to idols and by committing sexual sin.
Matthew 23:39 - For I tell you this, you will never see me again until you say, ‘Blessings on the one who comes in the name of the Lord!’ ”
Jeremiah 4:23 - I looked at the earth, and it was empty and formless. I looked at the heavens, and there was no light.
Jeremiah 4:24 - I looked at the mountains and hills, and they trembled and shook.
Jeremiah 4:25 - I looked, and all the people were gone. All the birds of the sky had flown away.
Jeremiah 4:26 - I looked, and the fertile fields had become a wilderness. The towns lay in ruins, crushed by the Lord’s fierce anger.
Jeremiah 4:27 - This is what the Lord says: “The whole land will be ruined, but I will not destroy it completely.
Jeremiah 4:28 - The earth will mourn and the heavens will be draped in black because of my decree against my people. I have made up my mind and will not change it.”
Jeremiah 4:29 - At the noise of charioteers and archers, the people flee in terror. They hide in the bushes and run for the mountains. All the towns have been abandoned— not a person remains!
Micah 5:11 - I will tear down your walls and demolish your defenses.
Micah 5:12 - I will put an end to all witchcraft, and there will be no more fortune-tellers.
Micah 5:13 - I will destroy all your idols and sacred pillars, so you will never again worship the work of your own hands.
Micah 5:14 - I will abolish your idol shrines with their Asherah poles and destroy your pagan cities.
Hosea 14:3 - Assyria cannot save us, nor can our warhorses. Never again will we say to the idols we have made, ‘You are our gods.’ No, in you alone do the orphans find mercy.”
Zechariah 13:2 - “And on that day,” says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, “I will erase idol worship throughout the land, so that even the names of the idols will be forgotten. I will remove from the land both the false prophets and the spirit of impurity that came with them.
Ezekiel 15:6 - “And this is what the Sovereign Lord says: The people of Jerusalem are like grapevines growing among the trees of the forest. Since they are useless, I have thrown them on the fire to be burned.
Ezekiel 15:7 - And I will see to it that if they escape from one fire, they will fall into another. When I turn against them, you will know that I am the Lord.
Ezekiel 15:8 - And I will make the land desolate because my people have been unfaithful to me. I, the Sovereign Lord, have spoken!”
Ezekiel 14:3 - “Son of man, these leaders have set up idols in their hearts. They have embraced things that will make them fall into sin. Why should I listen to their requests?
Ezekiel 14:4 - Tell them, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: The people of Israel have set up idols in their hearts and fallen into sin, and then they go to a prophet asking for a message. So I, the Lord, will give them the kind of answer their great idolatry deserves.
Ezekiel 14:5 - I will do this to capture the minds and hearts of all my people who have turned from me to worship their detestable idols.’
Ezekiel 14:6 - “Therefore, tell the people of Israel, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Repent and turn away from your idols, and stop all your detestable sins.
Ezekiel 14:7 - I, the Lord, will answer all those, both Israelites and foreigners, who reject me and set up idols in their hearts and so fall into sin, and who then come to a prophet asking for my advice.
Ezekiel 7:19 - “They will throw their money in the streets, tossing it out like worthless trash. Their silver and gold won’t save them on that day of the Lord’s anger. It will neither satisfy nor feed them, for their greed can only trip them up.
Hosea 4:3 - That is why your land is in mourning, and everyone is wasting away. Even the wild animals, the birds of the sky, and the fish of the sea are disappearing.
