  • Psalms 10:12 - Rise up, Lord God! Lift up your hand. Do not forget the oppressed.
  • Psalms 10:13 - Why has the wicked person despised God? He says to himself, “You will not demand an account.”
  • Psalms 14:1 - The fool says in his heart, “There’s no God.” They are corrupt; they do vile deeds. There is no one who does good.
  • Jeremiah 10:5 - Like scarecrows in a cucumber patch, their idols cannot speak. They must be carried because they cannot walk. Do not fear them for they can do no harm  — and they cannot do any good.

  • Psalms 94:7 - They say, “The Lord doesn’t see it. The God of Jacob doesn’t pay attention.”
  • Amos 9:1 - I saw the Lord standing beside the altar, and he said: Strike the capitals of the pillars so that the thresholds shake; knock them down on the heads of all the people. Then I will kill the rest of them with the sword. None of those who flee will get away; none of the fugitives will escape.
  • Amos 9:2 - If they dig down to Sheol, from there my hand will take them; if they climb up to heaven, from there I will bring them down.
  • Amos 9:3 - If they hide on the top of Carmel, from there I will track them down and seize them; if they conceal themselves from my sight on the sea floor, from there I will command the sea serpent to bite them.

  • Jeremiah 48:11 - Moab has been left quiet since his youth, settled like wine on its dregs. He hasn’t been poured from one container to another or gone into exile. So his taste has remained the same, and his aroma hasn’t changed.
  • Amos 6:1 - Woe to those who are at ease in Zion and to those who feel secure on the hill of Samaria — the notable people in this first of the nations, those the house of Israel comes to.
