  • Matthew 26:23 - He replied, “One of you who has just eaten from this bowl with me will betray me.
  • Matthew 26:24 - For the Son of Man must die, as the Scriptures declared long ago. But how terrible it will be for the one who betrays him. It would be far better for that man if he had never been born!”
  • Matthew 26:25 - Judas, the one who would betray him, also asked, “Rabbi, am I the one?” And Jesus told him, “You have said it.”
  • 2 Chronicles 25:16 - But the king interrupted him and said, “Since when have I made you the king’s counselor? Be quiet now before I have you killed!” So the prophet stopped with this warning: “I know that God has determined to destroy you because you have done this and have refused to accept my counsel.”
  • Jeremiah 25:3 - “For the past twenty-three years—from the thirteenth year of the reign of Josiah son of Amon, king of Judah, until now—the Lord has been giving me his messages. I have faithfully passed them on to you, but you have not listened.
  • Jeremiah 25:4 - “Again and again the Lord has sent you his servants, the prophets, but you have not listened or even paid attention.
  • Jeremiah 25:5 - Each time the message was this: ‘Turn from the evil road you are traveling and from the evil things you are doing. Only then will I let you live in this land that the Lord gave to you and your ancestors forever.
  • John 13:10 - Jesus replied, “A person who has bathed all over does not need to wash, except for the feet, to be entirely clean. And you disciples are clean, but not all of you.”
  • John 13:11 - For Jesus knew who would betray him. That is what he meant when he said, “Not all of you are clean.”
  • Zechariah 1:3 - Therefore, say to the people, ‘This is what the Lord of Heaven’s Armies says: Return to me, and I will return to you, says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies.’
  • Zechariah 1:4 - Don’t be like your ancestors who would not listen or pay attention when the earlier prophets said to them, ‘This is what the Lord of Heaven’s Armies says: Turn from your evil ways, and stop all your evil practices.’
  • Zechariah 1:5 - “Where are your ancestors now? They and the prophets are long dead.
  • Zechariah 1:6 - But everything I said through my servants the prophets happened to your ancestors, just as I said. As a result, they repented and said, ‘We have received what we deserved from the Lord of Heaven’s Armies. He has done what he said he would do.’”
  • 1 Kings 22:34 - An Aramean soldier, however, randomly shot an arrow at the Israelite troops and hit the king of Israel between the joints of his armor. “Turn the horses and get me out of here!” Ahab groaned to the driver of his chariot. “I’m badly wounded!”
  • 1 Kings 22:35 - The battle raged all that day, and the king remained propped up in his chariot facing the Arameans. The blood from his wound ran down to the floor of his chariot, and as evening arrived he died.
  • 1 Kings 22:36 - Just as the sun was setting, the cry ran through his troops: “We’re done for! Run for your lives!”
  • 1 Kings 22:37 - So the king died, and his body was taken to Samaria and buried there.
  • Isaiah 30:13 - calamity will come upon you suddenly— like a bulging wall that bursts and falls. In an instant it will collapse and come crashing down.
  • Isaiah 30:14 - You will be smashed like a piece of pottery— shattered so completely that there won’t be a piece big enough to carry coals from a fireplace or a little water from the well.”
  • Acts of the Apostles 1:18 - (Judas had bought a field with the money he received for his treachery. Falling headfirst there, his body split open, spilling out all his intestines.
  • 1 Kings 20:42 - The prophet said to him, “This is what the Lord says: Because you have spared the man I said must be destroyed, now you must die in his place, and your people will die instead of his people.”
  • 1 Kings 17:1 - Now Elijah, who was from Tishbe in Gilead, told King Ahab, “As surely as the Lord, the God of Israel, lives—the God I serve—there will be no dew or rain during the next few years until I give the word!”
  • John 6:70 - Then Jesus said, “I chose the twelve of you, but one is a devil.”
  • John 6:71 - He was speaking of Judas, son of Simon Iscariot, one of the Twelve, who would later betray him.
  • 2 Chronicles 36:13 - He also rebelled against King Nebuchadnezzar, even though he had taken an oath of loyalty in God’s name. Zedekiah was a hard and stubborn man, refusing to turn to the Lord, the God of Israel.

  • 1 Samuel 2:34 - And to prove that what I have said will come true, I will cause your two sons, Hophni and Phinehas, to die on the same day!
  • 1 Kings 21:20 - “So, my enemy, you have found me!” Ahab exclaimed to Elijah. “Yes,” Elijah answered, “I have come because you have sold yourself to what is evil in the Lord’s sight.
  • 1 Kings 21:21 - So now the Lord says, ‘I will bring disaster on you and consume you. I will destroy every one of your male descendants, slave and free alike, anywhere in Israel!
  • 1 Kings 21:22 - I am going to destroy your family as I did the family of Jeroboam son of Nebat and the family of Baasha son of Ahijah, for you have made me very angry and have led Israel into sin.’
  • 1 Kings 21:23 - “And regarding Jezebel, the Lord says, ‘Dogs will eat Jezebel’s body at the plot of land in Jezreel. ’
  • Nehemiah 9:29 - “You warned them to return to your Law, but they became proud and obstinate and disobeyed your commands. They did not follow your regulations, by which people will find life if only they obey. They stubbornly turned their backs on you and refused to listen.
  • Proverbs 28:18 - The blameless will be rescued from harm, but the crooked will be suddenly destroyed.
  • 1 Kings 18:18 - “I have made no trouble for Israel,” Elijah replied. “You and your family are the troublemakers, for you have refused to obey the commands of the Lord and have worshiped the images of Baal instead.
  • 2 Chronicles 36:15 - The Lord, the God of their ancestors, repeatedly sent his prophets to warn them, for he had compassion on his people and his Temple.
  • 2 Chronicles 36:16 - But the people mocked these messengers of God and despised their words. They scoffed at the prophets until the Lord’s anger could no longer be restrained and nothing could be done.
  • 2 Chronicles 36:17 - So the Lord brought the king of Babylon against them. The Babylonians killed Judah’s young men, even chasing after them into the Temple. They had no pity on the people, killing both young men and young women, the old and the infirm. God handed all of them over to Nebuchadnezzar.
  • 1 Kings 22:28 - But Micaiah replied, “If you return safely, it will mean that the Lord has not spoken through me!” Then he added to those standing around, “Everyone mark my words!”
  • John 13:26 - Jesus responded, “It is the one to whom I give the bread I dip in the bowl.” And when he had dipped it, he gave it to Judas, son of Simon Iscariot.
  • Jeremiah 35:13 - “This is what the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, the God of Israel, says: Go and say to the people in Judah and Jerusalem, ‘Come and learn a lesson about how to obey me.
  • Jeremiah 35:14 - The Recabites do not drink wine to this day because their ancestor Jehonadab told them not to. But I have spoken to you again and again, and you refuse to obey me.
  • Jeremiah 35:15 - Time after time I sent you prophets, who told you, “Turn from your wicked ways, and start doing things right. Stop worshiping other gods so that you might live in peace here in the land I have given to you and your ancestors.” But you would not listen to me or obey me.
  • Jeremiah 35:16 - The descendants of Jehonadab son of Recab have obeyed their ancestor completely, but you have refused to listen to me.’
  • Zechariah 7:11 - “Your ancestors refused to listen to this message. They stubbornly turned away and put their fingers in their ears to keep from hearing.
  • Zechariah 7:12 - They made their hearts as hard as stone, so they could not hear the instructions or the messages that the Lord of Heaven’s Armies had sent them by his Spirit through the earlier prophets. That is why the Lord of Heaven’s Armies was so angry with them.
  • Zechariah 7:13 - “Since they refused to listen when I called to them, I would not listen when they called to me, says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies.
  • Zechariah 7:14 - As with a whirlwind, I scattered them among the distant nations, where they lived as strangers. Their land became so desolate that no one even traveled through it. They turned their pleasant land into a desert.”
  • Acts of the Apostles 1:25 - as an apostle to replace Judas in this ministry, for he has deserted us and gone where he belongs.”
  • 1 Samuel 2:25 - If someone sins against another person, God can mediate for the guilty party. But if someone sins against the Lord, who can intercede?” But Eli’s sons wouldn’t listen to their father, for the Lord was already planning to put them to death.
  • John 13:18 - “I am not saying these things to all of you; I know the ones I have chosen. But this fulfills the Scripture that says, ‘The one who eats my food has turned against me.’
  • Proverbs 1:24 - “I called you so often, but you wouldn’t come. I reached out to you, but you paid no attention.
  • Proverbs 1:25 - You ignored my advice and rejected the correction I offered.
  • Proverbs 1:26 - So I will laugh when you are in trouble! I will mock you when disaster overtakes you—
  • Proverbs 1:27 - when calamity overtakes you like a storm, when disaster engulfs you like a cyclone, and anguish and distress overwhelm you.
  • Proverbs 1:28 - “When they cry for help, I will not answer. Though they anxiously search for me, they will not find me.
  • Proverbs 1:29 - For they hated knowledge and chose not to fear the Lord.
  • Proverbs 1:30 - They rejected my advice and paid no attention when I corrected them.
  • Proverbs 1:31 - Therefore, they must eat the bitter fruit of living their own way, choking on their own schemes.
  • Proverbs 6:15 - But they will be destroyed suddenly, broken in an instant beyond all hope of healing.
